Omer’s pov :
How did I let this happen again? How did I became this careless again? If something happened to my Rose I’m not going to forgive myself ever. There are photographs of Scarlett taken here without her knowledge and I know that the stalker is following Scarlett here and keeping an eye to strike again. I should have hired someone here for my rose’s safety but i didn’t thought that the stalker will be here.
I stuffed the photographs in my coat’s pocket and left Scarlett’s room. Iam going to search for her and bring her back safely. If I want to go to hell to bring Scarlett back, so be it, I don’t care. I climbed down the stairs and was ready to dash to the door but stopped by Scarlett’s mom.
” umm are you going somewhere?” I bought you some lemonade and sandwiches “.
“Thank you Mrs. Williams but I’m in a bit of a hurry”.
“Call me Shannon and is everything okay? Is Scarlett going to be okay?”.
” Don’t worry Mrs… Shannon nothing is going to happen to Scarlett and I promise I will bring her back”. I said, giving a small smile and leaving her there somewhat worried.
I called zayreen to know that where they are at. She answered my call at third ring ” Hello zayreen! Where are you?”.
“Okay, stay there i’m coming”. I ended the call and went to the address which zayreen texted. It is a small cafe not long from Scarlett’s house. Zayreen and mr. Williams is standing outside the cafe.
” Did you find anything? Any clue or something?” I asked hoping that maybe she is with her old friends.
” No nothing omer, we searched everywhere but Scarlett is nowhere to be found”. Zayreen is looking like she is going to burst into tears at any moment and mr. Williams is anxiously talking with someone on the phone.
I went to Mr Williams and stood next to him waiting for him to get down from the call. I felt his stare on me so I lifted my head and saw Mr. Williams looked skeptically trying to find out who I am and what my intentions are. Now, there is no time for introductions and all. We have to become one to find Scarlett and bring her safely.
I cleared my throat and started ” mr. Williams I’ve got this from Scarlett’s room and can you take a look at it” I said handing him the photographs. He took them from me and started seeing them and the expressions on his face changed from confusion to shock to worry to anger.
“Who the hell did this and how?”
” I guess it’s the stalker I’m talking about. She followed you all everywhere and took these photos”.
” oh my god omer, what do we do now?”.
” Don’t worry zayreen, I’ve already informed the cops and my detectives. They all will help us find scarlett ” I said, hugging zayreen.
” mr. omer I have also alerted the cops and we should go to the station to show them this”
” Call me omer mr williams and yeah let’s go”.
“Call me Jordon too” Mr Williams said with a nod and a small smile.
“Zayreen! Take Jordan’s car and go to Scarlett’s house. Mrs Williams is alone and you should stay with her”. I said entering my car.
“Okay omer but please take care and bring Scarlett back”.
” I promise “.
I started my car and with the directions by Jordon we reached the police station. An officer received us and sent us to the higher officer to his cabin. I just sat there listening to Jordan explaining everything to them and I gave them the CCTV footage of my office and near Scarlett’s apartment and the photographs.
Within a minute everyone is ready to search for Scarlett and with Scarlett’s last signal of her mobile and her car’s GPS, cops are ready to start from that point.
” We have got the last location where Miss Williams’ phone pinged and we want to start our investigation from there because there will be more chances for clues” officer John stated before alerting all the other officers about the plan.
” Don’t worry Jordan we are going to find Scarlett and nothing is going to happen to her” i patted his shoulder and gave a small smile.
” I hope so omer, she is my princess and I can’t bear if something happened to her ”.
” Nothing Is going to happen just think positive and believe in Scarlet, she is much stronger than we think she is and she is a fighter and she will fight through it”.
” I know my princess is a fighter and thank you omer”.
” we should get going”.
We left the station and went to William’s house. I dropped Jordan at the entrance of their house. ” I have something to take care of. It will take some time and if you get to know anything about the search let me know ”. I said before leaving from there.
I just can’t simply sit there and wait for the cops to do their work and inform us. Scarlett is my responsibility too and I have to look for her, for my sanity. If not, I am going to be nuts.
Like I said before Scarlett is a fighter, she is truly a fighter and I know she will be stronger than us in this situation but I’m scared to see her after the attack. I don’t want that to happen to her again. I just pray Scarlett will be without any scratch on her till one of us reaches her.
I slipped the address of the last location of Scarlett which I noted when the officer told us and started the car. I’m coming Rose to pull you out from your demons forever. I Am going to punish that stalker so that she will think again and again why she was born and why she attacked Scarlett.
When I reached that place there was no one around and there was only a park. I checked my surroundings for Scarlett’s car but nothing’s there. There are CCTV cameras at the entrance of the park and it will be helpful to know the whereabouts of Scarlett.
I strolled around the park looking for any clue that will help us that Scarlett came here or it’s just the stalker trying to fool us by pinpointing her location at this place. I went deep into the park and saw a small bridge which leads to the pond. It is not a small pond.
When I reached the end of the bridge there’s a rope which was used to tie a boat. Anyone can easily enter and leave the park without getting caught by the cameras. Carefully I searched my surroundings and at the end of the bridge’s fence is something hanging and by the looks of it, it’s a scarf? I took that scarf and examined it and the fragrance which is coming from that scarf. I know whom it belongs to.
It is Scarlett’s scarf and there are initials at the end of the scarf “SR”, it could mean Scarlett Rose. I didn’t waste anymore time and dashed out to the park to make sure that this scarf is scarlett’s.
I left my phone in the car and when I entered the car immediately I dialed zayreen’s number and waited for her to answer.
“Come one zareen, pick up”.
” Hello! Omer, what happened? Why are you video calling?”.
” Are Mr or Mrs Williams with you? I want to show them something”.
” yes they are with me, wait I will turn the camera towards them”.
” Okay, hurry”.
“Omer? What happened?”. Mrs Williams asked worriedly.
” Nothing Mrs Williams. I want to show you something and please look carefully and tell me”. I showed her the scarf which I got from the edge of the bridge.
” Is this Scarlett’s scarf Mrs. Williams?”.
” oh my good, my baby”. Mrs williams started crying and it means this scarf is scarlett’s.
” omer! Yes this is scarlett’s scarf and there will be initials at the end of the scarf “SR”. It is a gift from Shannon to Scarlett when she left for New york”.
” Yes, there are initials on the scarf Jordon and I’ve got this scarf from the park and do you know if maybe Scarlett will visit this park?”. Inaksed showing them the park.
” it’s her second favourite place. Whenever she wants to be alone or think about something, she always goes there” Mrs Williams a said.
” Okay, don’t worry. We are getting Scarlett back at any cost”. I said before hanging up.
I just hope I get to Scarlett on time……
