The loud sound of the fire alarm started ringing, and the whole hotel started to become a big mess. Zoe was held back by the fire fighters outside the hotel, and all that was seen were smoke and fire flames coming out of the windows.
“Fuck! Let me in, my friend is still inside! Her name is Selina. She is a celebrity! Don’t touch me!”
When the crowd heard the name, someone came towards Zoe, grabbed her shoulders and asked, “Is Selina upstairs”
Zoe turned around and saw Mike, “Who are you”
“Mike Smith.”
Mike pushed away the police officers, and ran straight into the building.
“What the hell are you letting another one in for Do your job!” Another firefighter yelled at him.

Zoe looked confused. Who else went in
Selina was still sleeping, when the sprinkler on the ceiling started to sprinkle water.
She was pulled out of her sleep. She sat up straight, and took off her eye cover and ear muffs. The bedroom was filled with heavy smoke, and water was falling from the ceiling.
Was there a fire
The smoke was so heavy that she couldn’t even speak, the water that was sprinkled into her room did not make the situation better. She felt the room was humid and hot.
She yelled with a broken voice, “Help!”
The rumble of fire covered her voice. She wanted to run towards the window, but noticed that there was a big crack towards the window.
Selina ran into the bathroom and let water run over her body, then she sat in a corner and started to cough.
The smoke had a little sweet taste, which made her body soften.

“Selina”
Who was asking for her She was still confused and wanted to answer, but she couldn’t even open her mouth.
Darren was outside the room, yelling her name over and over again, some firefighters tried to pull him back, “You aren’t wearing the suit, please back away!”
The firefighters opened the door, and took their radio, “We found the source. It started in this room.”
“What’s this smell”
The fire almost burned down everything in the living room, Darren saw the door to the bedroom was tightly shut, “Selina, are you in there!”
The firefighters blocked his way, “Sir, you cannot go in there. It is too dangerous. The ceilings might give away anytime.”
“There is a child inside, here!”
Someone was yelling in the hallway, and a couple of firefighters ran over, leaving only two of them to extinguish the fire, while the others went to rescue the child.
Darren saw that the firefighters needed help, and he took the insulation blanket on the floor, and rushed into the room.
He tried to open the door but noticed that it was locked, “Selina!”
“Ahem, ahem…”
Darren kicked the door in.
In the room there was heavy smoke, it was too hot inside, and Selina, who was still in the bathroom, had already passed out.
Darren took Selina on his arms, and ran outside, his insulation blanket fell on the floor while doing so, and the flames hit him, but he did everything to protect Selina.
“Get out of there, the building is collapsing!” The firefighters ran inside and tried to support one of the wall boards.
Darren ran through a firewall, and out of the hotel building, just as he came out, the building behind him collapsed with a bang.
“Get downstairs!”
The bang caused him and the firefighter to fall onto the ground, but he shook his head, and picked up Selina, who was still passed out.
“Sir, you are hurt, let me help you!” The firefighter came towards Darren to help.
Darren lowered his head, only to find a blinding pain on his waist.
“Yeah, thank you.” Darren let go of Selina, and allowed the firefighter to help him.
“Sir, follow me.”
“Okay.”
He tried to get up while supported by the wall, but then he subconsciously touched his pockets, his face expression changed immediately, turned around and ran back inside.
“Hey, that’s dangerous, come back!”
Darren was already out of sight, so the firefighter took Selina downstairs, when he was on the second floor, the railing suddenly broke, and hit the fireman.
A shadow of a man rushed towards them, and supported both, he lowered his head to check, “Selina!”
Mike was wearing a fire suit.
The fireman took an insulation blanket and wrapped Selina into it, “Take her, and get out!”
Mike took Selina on his arms, with his other hand, he supported the fireman, and the three of them went downstairs.
Just as they got out of the building, a crowd of reporters ran towards them, and surrounded them. They all tried to get a picture first hand.
Mike roared at them, “Get out of our way, the ones you should be taking pictures of are these hero firefighters!”
Everyone was stunned, and Zoe ran towards them, blocking the reporters, “Please, this is a huge fire. Please find a safe place to be, and when it is over, you will have your chance for interviews. Please make way for the firefighters!”
At this point, she could not allow those reporters to block the way, otherwise the discussions the next day would ruin Selina.
Mike took Selina to the next ambulance.
Zoe came over, “Mister Smith, thank you so much for saving Selina, I am her manager.”
Mike wiped his face, and stared at the hotel building, which was still filled with smoke, and he asked thoughtfully, “Did Selina make any enemies”
Zoe was shocked for a second, then she looked towards the hotel just as Mike, the fourth floor was where the fire was the fiercest, exactly where Selina’s room was.
Really, would someone want to hurt her
The workers had been busy running around for almost two hours, trying to keep the damage at its lowest. It was a beautiful 4-star hotel, and now it was ruined.
Selina was given oxygen for a while, and she finally started to gain back her consciousness again. She seemed to have seen Darren trying to save her, and she sat up immediately to hug him tight.
“I am so scared…”
“Selina, don’t be scared, you are safe now.”
Who was this voice She backed off, and saw that the person who was comforting her was Mike.
“Mike”
Wasn’t it Darren who saved her
Mike helped her to bring her hair in order, and said to her worried, “You must be under shock.”
She grabbed his arm, and asked hurriedly, “Mike, did you save me”
“It was a fireman, I just…”
“Mr. Auton, are you hurt The fire was huge, even the fireman had trouble getting in, how did you do that”
“Mr. Auton, are you hurt badly”
When Selina heard people calling out this name, she took off her oxygen mask, and ran off the van.
“Selina be careful!” Mike ran after her to help.
Selina was very weak, so she had to rely on Mike supporting her, there was a big crowd not far from her, and they were all surrounding him.
Darren, who was looking very awkward, raised his head and looked at the reporters, “You ask me why I went in”
The reporter was stared down by him.
“Do you really need an excuse to save lives”
His answer made a lot of people surrounding them feel high self-confidence, the financial news took the opportunity to photograph his embarrassment at the moment.
“Darren…” Selina was saying weakly, he had burn marks on the back of his neck, and also some on his face.

The two of them were hugging each other, and Selina stopped, she just stood there and watched them.

Mike was supporting her with both of his hands, his face covered with worries while he looked at her.
Sophia said with a breaking voice, “Never scare me like this again. What am I supposed to do if something happens to you”
Darren lowered his head, and patted on her shoulders, “I’m okay.”
Selina thought to herself, ‘He is mine!’
Darren loved her, why was he standing there with Sophia!
Looking at the two of them hugging, she clenched her fists, and felt an indescribable pain in her heart.
Her eyes became blurry, she saw him helping Sophia arrange her hair, and the chain on his hand…
“Selina, what’s wrong!” Mike held her when she was falling to the side.
Darren turned around, and saw Mike taking Selina and leaving.
