Nancy, dressed in casual pajamas, opens the door of her bedroom. At the same time, there come the doorbells.
Her parents look at her in puzzle and walks to the door. All of a sudden, Nancy feels nervous and unease and grabs her pajama.
When her father opens the door, he is stunned and stands still. His expression tells that he has found something horrible.
Then her mother walks over, shouting, “Husband, what’s wrong? What are you standing there still? What’s the matter…”
Then, Mrs. Moore is also stunned and stands there, unmoved, with her husband. Nancy feels confused, thinking, “Is Lawrence’s grandma so terrifying?”
Then she also walks over. When she sees the crowd who are standing at the door, she is also dumbfounded.
Lawrence stands on the right. The old lady beside him is the one she met in the supermarket last time. Behind him is Justin Wood, who is carrying a pile of gifts.
While Nicholas Shawn stands straight on the left. Her eldest aunt also stands there, with a stiffened smile on her face. The awkwardness of the scene is self-evident.
“Hi, Nancy, I bring someone to visit you, guess who it is?” As everyone is dumbfounded and doesn’t know how to react, her eldest aunt takes the initiative to greet her. Then she swiftly pulls Nicholas towards her. “Nicholas tells me several times that he wants to visit your father and mother. I think he is so thoughtful, so I…”
Before her aunt finishes her words, Nancy is suddenly dragged into Lawrence arms. Tammy happens to go out, yawning. She sees this scene and hurriedly asks, “Sister, is you’re your husband-to-be?”
Nicholas’ expression suddenly becomes gloomy. Seeing that everyone present is still in shock, Nancy hastily waves her hands to explain, “No, no…”
“Heh-heh, why are you all standing at the door? Come in, and take a seat.” Mr. Moore finally comes to his own sense. As a host, although he feels awkward, he has to invite them to come in the house.
Nicholas restrains his expression and puts on a smile. When he just lifts his foot, Justin slightly squints and breasts in, bumping Nicholas to the side and walking with the gifts in his arms.
Lawrence also walks into the house, holding the arm of his grandma. Before he walks in, he shoots Nancy a cold glance.
When he passes Nancy, he leans forward and whispers in her ear, “If I don’t come today, someone might have taken my place, right?”
Nancy smile awkwardly and doesn’t reply. Seeing the crow passing her one by one and stepping into the house, she feels turbulence in her heart.
Her parents also sense the white war between the two parties and worries about their daughter in heart, sighing, “It is just like the cultivation of a virgin land. When she’s a virgin, no one wants her; when she’s not, everyone is competing for her.”
“Is it appropriate to use this to describe your daughter?” Mrs. Moore looks at her husband with despise and then also walks into the house to greet the guests.
Lawrence’s grandma grins and her eyes almost smile into a line. She says again and again, “That’s my grandson’s wife-to-be. She’s so good. I like her so much!”
Nancy’s eldest aunt feels unhappy and hastily interrupts her, “Yuck, Grandma, mind your words. I am the eldest aunt of Nancy.” She then points at the man sitting beside her, “This is Nicholas Shawn. He’s Nancy’s boyfriend. And, your grandson… I am afraid he’s even not an adult!”
“If you want to know whether he is an adult, you can ask Nancy. The baby in her belly is the child of the Ellis family!”
Nancy’s aunt is choked by her words. And her face turns pale. All of a sudden, everyone in the house shifts their gaze on her belly. Nancy subconsciously covers her hands on her belly and her mouth twitches in awkwardness.
Mr. Moore is also panicked; he pulls Mrs. Moore into the kitchen, “What should we do now? You must find some ways to deal with your elder sister. I prefer Lawrence. This boy is good.”
Mrs. Moore wipes the sweats on her forehead, “You also know the personality of my sister. I don’t want to get involved. You go out and deal with her!”
As she’s speaking, she pushes Mr. Moore out of the kitchen and leans against the door for eavesdropping.
