Robin didn’t respond.
Though he had almost been convinced, he still doubted about them giving the stone up as a bet.
‘If it’s really one of the great stones, then the value of this stone is much more precious than that of my book. Would Mr. Wang be willing to give it up?’ thought Robin.
He paused, looked meaningfully at Luon, who was sitting at the top, and said slowly, “It isn’t a trick, is it?”
The atmosphere was stressful for a while, like something was revealed.
Robin laughed, “I’m just kidding. Don’t take it to heart, Mr. Wang.”
Luon’s expression was a little stiff. It could be seen that he was in a bad mood.
But they had to figure out whether to make a bet or not. At last the fat man laughed, “Mr. Zhou is really fond of making jokes, but we are sincere to make a deal with Mr. Zhou. There are few men who can be a Martial Artist. You and Mr. Wang are among the best. Naturally, you should help each other sincerely.”
Robin ignored him and returned to his seat. He whispered to Davin, “They are not so kind, even if it is a fair fight, they’ll not give up such an important thing. There must be some tricks in it. I was just testing, but these guys exposed themselves.”
Davin was also taken aback. Although the two sides were about to fight, they couldn’t fight with no cause.
Hearing Robin’s words, Davin also thought these men were for troubles.
The fat man ten returned to his seat too.
Robin then addressed the group again, “I have no problem with strange stone. How do you plan the fight?”
“Mr. Zhou, though it’s to fight, we must not let it injure our friendship. The book and the stone are very precious, and the loss of one of them would be painful to us.”
“So we thought instead of betting on the ownership of the two things, we could just bet on the right to use them.”
“Oh! So…?”
“If one of us loses, the loser will lend his collateral to the winner for a year. After a year, whether the winner can get a promotion or not, he will return it back.”
Robin grinned. They really had a good idea.
If they really got the book, they could copy it. Then the rule was of no use.
Robin didn’t care. He just said decisively, “Good!
Deal.”
Robin’s decision was out of everyone’s expectation. They thought Robin would haggle, and finally they would reach an agreement by making some concessions.
But they didn’t expect Robin to agree so directly. Although it was unexpected, it did benefit them.
“That’s great. Well, then we will make an appointment for the contest. The contest will be held in XY Resort in three days. Does Mr. Zhou have any problem with it?”
Robin didn’t want to waste time with them.
“OK, meet you in XY Resort in three days.”
When they left Longtan Restaurant, Davin asked curiously, “This is obviously not a fair agreement. Why did you agree so easily?”
“But in my opinion, this is already a very meaningful thing. I have touched that strange stone myself, and I can feel a strange power in it. Even though it is different from the Martial Artist’s power, I am very interested in it.”

Three days passed quickly. Robin and Davin arrived at XY Resort very early.
XY Resort was a club in the suburb of Yanchin. No one was not allowed to enter the club unless he was a member of the club. It had beautiful scenery and mountains and rivers, so it was a good place for relax and travel.
When they arrived, they were stopped by the guards at the door.
“Can’t I go in?” Robin asked the guard.
“Sorry Sir, this is a private club. You are not a member here, so I can’t let you in.”
This guy was conscientious, but in his eyes, it could tell that he thought Robin was a poor man who wouldn’t afford to play in this club.
Robin smiled. He did not get angry with the guard, nor did he get in. He knew it was Luon who gave him a hard time.
“Why don’t you go in and tell them that I’ll go back?” Robin said to the guard.
Before the guard answered, the fat man flurried out from the inside.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Zhou. We didn’t think he would dare stop you from coming in.”
When he finished talking to Robin, he snapped at the guard with a stern face, “Apologize to Mr. Zhou quickly!”
The guard looked a little wronged, but he dared not offend, so he honestly apologized to Robin.
“Well, forget it. I’m not so bored to reproach a guard.”
The fat man knew Robin was satirizing him for being bored, but he still smiled, “Mr. Zhou, you are so generous. I really admire you.”
What a shameless man! Even if Robin scolded him, the man might still curry favor to him. That was why Robin didn’t want to waste time on him.
“Are they all here?”
“Yes, Mr. Wang is looking forward to such an important day.”
As he said so, he led Robin and Davin into the clubhouse.
