Luca’s attack was a laser barrage!
Numerous high-energy lasers shot to unmanned space warcraft set by mankind before.
The laser couldn’t be avoided, because the laser rushed at a speed of light.
But the super distance communication technology made this situation change.
The satellites could send the information about the lasers so quickly and controlled the unmanned warcraft to avoid.
So, many warcraft could dodge some lasers but were still damaged.
It seemed that Luca had guessed that those warcraft could dodge the lase, so they chose to barrage.
The lasers should take twenty seconds to hit the warcraft, too short for the warcraft to run away.
And the satellites on the track also became the targets.
“Ask the frigates on the track of Epsilon Eridani B to attack with a barrage of lasers,” Chase ordered.
“It’s too early. Luca’s ships are still outside the track, so we can’t damage them much because they have much time to avoid our attack.” Phil was confused.
“It’s just a way to lure them in deep.” Chase’s eyes were full of cunning. “We have to let them know we have used all our power. As long as they think we are weak, they will rush to Epsilon Eridani B, so we can detonate the planet.”
“You’re right. I didn’t think of this.” Phil was convinced and then sent the order.
The laser’s barrage was the most appropriate weapon to destroy enemies’ radars, satellites, and other defensive systems.
The only method the human scientists had found to defend the laser’s barrage was just the gravitational distortion field.
But it was only theoretical, not practical.
Chase believed that Cassie would lead her team to develop such technology soon.
But it would be at the time when human civilization entered the late stage of level three.
After all, such technology was for civilization at level four.
The same laser barrage!
And more high-energy laser barrage!
The lights began to appear again, but they now symbolized the deaths of Luca’s ships.
Luca’s ships finally began to fall down, but all the destroyed ships were small, showing that Luca’s technologies were much more advanced than those of mankind.
“Fortunately, we left that planet first. It would be a great loss if we really fought against such civilization.” Chase sighed.
Though human weapons were advanced enough, they were still weak in front of civilization at the peak of level three. Even if they could win, they would suffer a considerable loss.
Luca was irritated by mankind’s attacks.
All Luca’s ships, except the main fleet, rocketed to the planet.
Chase finally breathed a sigh of relief.
The plan was half successful as long as those ships entered the planet.
Chase felt pitiful as he saw the lead ship still kept cautious and didn’t follow those ships.
But even though their lead ship didn’t suffer damage, they would still be defeated without the protection of frigate ships.
“You can’t leave since you dare to come here!”
Chase’s eyes were full of murder.
“When will they enter the track?” Chase asked Dasin.
Dasin gained the result one minute later. “One minute and twenty-eight seconds later.”
“We are going to attack at that time. Lure those assholes into the atmosphere!” Chase ordered.
Phil nodded and then sent the order.
Luca’s ships finally got in the track of Epsilon Eridani A.
But they were alert and didn’t break in the atmosphere at once.
They sent the exploring ship to check, but soon it was destroyed.
Luca sent more ships to have a try, but all of them encountered more fierce resistance.
Those ships were all cracked before they could detect the information.
Such a situation irritated Luca’s captains, so all the ships began to charge.
Though they suffered a loss, they still got most ships breaking into the mankind’s defense, and destroyed much warcraft.
But Luca’s people began to feel something wrong.
Because they found all the warcraft and other weapons on this planet were unmanned!
“We’re cheated!”
Just at this moment, the whole planet began to explode.
The mighty impact force swallowed up all Luca’s ships on this planet.
