“I have to make a try!” Chase decided.
He immediately ordered all the warcraft to fire.
The bullets and the ordinary missiles were speeding to the water drop.
But the result let Chase down.
The water drop still kept its elegance and slowly went to them.
The space missiles couldn’t be used again due to the short distance between mankind and the water drop.
“Fire with all the weapons!”
Chase was enraged.
They had gained many resources on Planet B, and here, so Chase wasn’t afraid of the consumption.
All the bombs and bullets were sent to the water drop at quite high speeds.
In a flash, they hit the water drop!
The light and heat their meet caused made space bright as if another fixed star was there.
But as the light faded, Chase couldn’t found the water drop.
“We… we destroyed it?” Phil asked with uncertainty.
But his guess had been ruined just one second later.
The water drop appeared at another place and rushed to them at a higher speed.
Still, no dust was on it.
The power, high enough to destroy the whole earth, couldn’t hurt it even a little.
The water drop approached to the warcraft and then punched a ship.
The ship was becoming red and then exploded!
And another ship…
In one second, five ships were destroyed!
The fright swallowed everyone, including Chase.
The water drop was rushing to The Hope!
Was the hope really going to be ruined?
Chase was regretful much now because if he chose to surrender, mankind could still survive, even though they would have become the slaves.
But, was that meaningful to live like a slave?
Chase began to be confident.
Mankind couldn’t become slave, even the price was death!
And more importantly, the people here were not the whole of mankind.
Maybe those leaders from countries had found an excellent planet to live now.
So, Chase and his fellows’ deaths didn’t mean mankind died out.
Since there was still hope, Chase would like to do the pioneer to explore the unknown universe.
“Come on! Show me your power!” Chase roared and then strode out.
“Where are you going?” Reba asked worriedly.
“I’m going to fight,” Chase said.
“Fight? How can you do that?” Reba was shocked.
Even the high-tech weapons couldn’t hurt the water drop, so how could a man destroy it?
“I have to go even if it’s impossible!
How can the commander hide in front of the risk?
Since we’re bound to meet our dooms, I would like to be the pioneer!”
Chase said firmly.
Reba was speechless. She wanted Chase to bring her together, but it was meaningless.
“We can only wait for death.” Reba smiled with tears flowing down.
“Do we really have to do this?” Phil followed Chase and asked.
“Yes. We have no way to destroy it. Our technologies are much inferior to them.” Chase shook his head.
“So, I’ll go with you. Let’s die together!” Phil nodded with firmness on his face.
“Whatever. Let’s go.” Chase nodded.
The water drop was coming, and The Hope would be destroyed minutes later.
Chase had given up.
Mankind was so weak in front of real power.
The Hope was becoming The Despair.
Chase got in the warcraft, and Phil followed him in.
“It’s happy to die with you.”
“But pitifully, we haven’t led mankind well.”
Phil sighed.
“Never mind. We have tried our best, haven’t we?”
Chase smiled and then started the warcraft.
The space warcraft became a flash of thunder and rocketed to the water drop!
