In the end, they embarked on the journey.
Chase Lu sighed in his heart. And thought if given another ten years, he would conquer the entire solar system.
But now, the D virus forced him to embark on the journey full of danger and uncertainties.
For a long time, Chase was heavy-hearted.
At this moment, looking at the earth getting smaller and smaller, everyone’s feeling was complicated.
What they would face was unknown and full of danger.
They probably would never come back to the earth.
Chase kept his promise and left the Science Park to humans left on the earth.
But the air circulation system was supported by controlled nuclear fusion, and the rare material left was few.
The air circulation system would only last for one year. If the human staying in Science Park couldn’t find more rare materials within a year, they would die.
Chase withdrew his sight and said, “Hope they could create miracles.”
He said to a channel that only the high-levels could hear, “Let’s have a meeting.”
Before entering the meeting room, Chase was going to the smoking area to smoke a cigarette with Josh and Tata following him.
His assistant, Reba, went to the meeting room first.
Chase gave Tate, Josh a cigarette.
Although they had bought many cigarettes before, cigarettes would become a luxury from now on.
Chase said, “You should go to the second floor to get some information and understand what do they want.”
Tate said disapprovingly, “How dare they be picky. We give them the hope of living. They should appreciate us for that.”
Chase glared at Tate and said, “You don’t understand. They are the hope of human beings. Divine Land Spacecraft is not mature in terms of its technologies and can only work for ten years. If they are likely to be destroyed if they couldn’t find a habitable planet.”
Josh smiled and replied, “I’m confused.”
Tate smiled too and added, “I don’t understand your principles. Just give me orders and don’t explain.”
Chase flashed Tate.
Finishing the cigarette, Chase walked to the meeting room.
The meeting room was full of people.
Chase sat in the position of captain, and silence fell in the room.
“We had left the earth, and there is no way to go back. The people on this spacecraft is the last hope of human being. I believe our group will thrive in the future, so I think we should organize a government to manage. What do you think?” Chase looked at everyone.
“I agree.”
“I agree.”
They hadn’t discussed this but hoped to build a stable system.
Although it was impossible to restore the living habit on the earth, they would live a stable life if there were principles and rules to follow and a government to manage.
Chase continued, “Then, let’s elect the chief of the government. They will only be responsible for dealing with things between ordinary people and have no right to interfere in the “Hope” decisions. Only I have the right to control the “Hope.”
No one disagreed with the dictatorship of Chase.
Chase had the highest prestige, and those with a vision all hoped Chase to be a dictator, at least before they found a habitable planet.
Wall spoke, “I recommend Wade Xie as the chief officer. He was the chief officer of Jol City, and under his leadership, the Jol City was thriving.”
“I agree. He is the most suitable for the position.”
“I agree.”
“I agree.”
Others also nodded.
Wade Xie’s eyes lit up and didn’t expect him to be a decision-maker.
Chase looked at Wade Xie and said to Reba, “I appoint Wade Xie the first chief of the government. Reba, tell everyone about the news.”
Reba nodded and began to record.
Wade Xie got up and saluted everyone, “Thanks for your trust. I will never let you down.”
Chase nodded and added, “I recommend Wall, the vice chief. You form the government and appoint other officers.”
Wall stood up and responded, “Yes, captain!”
Everyone applauded and congratulated Wade Xie and Wall.
Chase continued, “Let’s move on.”
