Chapter 446 The Government’s Decision

Book:My Legendary Husband Published:2024-5-1

Feng Liu and Wade Xie had called Chase many times, but Chase didn’t answer them, so they had to go to Jay Sis Technology.
Wall hurriedly went to welcome them.
“Where is Chase? Is he watching those scientists breaking the genetic code of the virus?” Feng asked.
“Ah? Mr. Lu is not here.” Wall was worried. Did their coming mean that the hardest time came?
“Where is him?” Wade frowned.
“I don’t know. Let me call Mr. Lu first.” Wall shook his head. He didn’t know Chase’s location.
“We have called him several times, but no one answered.” Wade stopped Wall.
Wall was panicky. Why didn’t Chase answer the phone call?
Did the situation really become so severe?
Wall insisted on calling Chase, but still, no one answered.
Wall felt more and more anxious as he waited for Chase’s answering.
It was the first time Chase didn’t answer the phone.
Was even Chase hopeless for the situation?
“Hurry up! Ask you people who know Chase’s location! He must be in one of your companies!” Feng reminded Wall.
“Oh! I’m going to ask.” Wall nodded.
“Do you know his wife’s number? Maybe Jayne Lin knows.” Wade suddenly said.
“Yeah!” Wall patted his leg. He was too panicky to think of this.
Chase would always tell Jayne his location because Chase cared much about his family.
Soon Jayne answered Wall’s call.
“Mrs. Lu. Do you know where Mr. Lu is? Mr. Xie needs to talk with him.” Wall asked Jayne.
“He’s studying the virus in DL City. It must be at a critical time, so he has no time to answer the phone.” Jayne guessed.
Chase told her that they had found the breakthrough, so he might not have time to contact Jayne and let Jayne not worry.
Wall was speaking on the speakerphone, so Wade and Feng also heard Jayne’s words.
Wade said after Wall hung up the phone. “Can you get in touch with the manager in DL City? Tell Chase that we’re going to find him there.”
“OK.” Wall nodded and then called Hailson.
Wade and Feng asked the army’s commander to send them to DL City by a particular flight.
It was not far away, so they got to DL City in just one hour.
Hailson was waiting at the gate as the two arrived.
Feng said to Hailson before Hailson spoke. “Lead us to see Chase.”
“OK.” Hailson nodded and led them to the lab.
He had reported Chase about this matter, and Chase ordered him to usher the two.
As they got to the rest area of the lab, Hailson asked them to sit down, and then he went in to call Chase.
Ten minutes later, Chase went out in a lab coat. He even didn’t have time to change his clothes.
The two admired Chase’s great efforts much as they saw the slovenly beard on Chase’s face.
“Why do you come to find me? Is the situation outside uncontrollable?” Chase looked at Feng and Wade.
Hailson treated them the tea.
There was a prohibited area for ordinary people, so he was the only one who could do such things.
“It’s terrible. We found at least ten virus windstorms are coming. The results should be destructive. We may not be able to deal with it. Can you give us an exact answer if you can deal with the virus?” Feng asked.
The people worldwide now all relied on Jay Sis Technology since the scientist group in Country J failed.
Jay Sis was the only hope for mankind now. The world would be destroyed if Jay Sis also had no idea.
“You should also give me an exact answer about what the government will do if we fail?” Chase stared at Feng. It was just what he was concerned about.
He was not qualified to know the government’s decision before, but now, he was.
Feng looked at Chase with surprise in his eyes.
But Chase’s eyes were full of firmness.
The government definitely made plans for every possible situation, but it was the top-secret of the country, so even Feng didn’t know clearly.
“I don’t know clearly, but I can make sure that the government will make the final choice if you fail. I don’t know what the choice will be, but it must be related to the sky.” Feng pointed above.
Though he didn’t say clearly, both Chase and Wade knew his meaning.
Chase was shocked. It was too hard to realize that kind of plan.
The technologies were not high enough to send such more people outside of the earth.
Chase thought he underrated the abilities of the government.
Their knowledge about technologies might be less than those scientists in Jay Sis, but they had much more resources to support their crazy plans.
But it was still too dangerous.
