Chapter 427 Virus D

Book:My Legendary Husband Published:2024-5-1

For all the people in Country C, the new year’s day meant unity. They would stay with their family members and enjoyed the holiday together.
But for people in Country J, this new year was their nightmare.
The hospitals in JZ City and the cities around were filled with patients.
All those patients’ sickness kept the same four features:
In the first stage, it was as common as a cold.
In the second stage, it was a leukocytosis, making the patient weak, throw up, and have the runs.
In the third stage, the patient’s skin would be corrupted, and even those who were severe much lost their ears or noses.
In the fourth stage, it was death.
More importantly, no useful serum to restrain this virus had been developed in Country J.
It was like the virus in the movies that quicken the patients’ metastasis.
The government of Country J intended to cover this information, but as the foreigners in Country J began to evacuate, the info also spread.
Country J had to seek international help.
The secret study of Country J and Country A was finally exposed. The two countries tried to study the biochemical weapons, but failed and made the virus spread out.
The virus was named Virus D.
But the feature of Virus D was still being studied.
Though only Country J suffered the virus now, it spread too fast, making the whole world panicky, so many nations offered help to Country J.
Chase also received the order from the government of Country C. He called Dasin to summon some scientists specializing in virus to study the virus.
Fortunately, Chase listened to Reba’s words and gave up the market in Country J.
He believed those scientists could deal with the virus, but he was still worried much.
The government of Country J was the one who deserved this, not the ordinary people.
Indeed, the governments of Country J and Country A had been cursed much by the world.
In Country J, the people were surrounding the Prime Minister’s Office and asking for a change.
Of course, the world didn’t care about the Primi Minister of Country J. People only worried about if the virus could spread through the air.
The governments in many countries hurriedly held a secret meeting to discuss.
Chase also held a manager’s meeting and invited those scientists to talk about how they could stop the virus.
This issue should be for the government, but as the leader of the companies in this country, Chase had to do something.
The meeting lasted for several hours, but no useful results were gained because they lacked information about the virus.
Because of such an important event, Chase canceled the plan to go to Pollas Island, but John came to call him under Terence’s order.
Chase didn’t refuse. He was willing to go back to the family but unwilling to be looked down upon.
He hadn’t grown up in the family, and no one would know him if Chase were ordinary.
Even his uncle came to set him up on Jay Sis Technology, so how could Chase feel he belonged to that family.
Since Chase now had enough power to force the family to shut up, he would like to have a look there.
“Didn’t you always complain about my refusal to bring you back to my family? Just make preparation, and I’m going to bring you back tomorrow.” Chase said to Jayne as he got home.
“How did I always complain? It’s all up to you.” Jayne rolled her eyes.
Indeed, she didn’t always complain, but she complained several times. Chase couldn’t explain this before, and it was no need to explain then.
Chase smiled. “But my family members won’t welcome us, so you have to be ready.”
Jayne raised her eyebrows. “We’re just going to have a look. We won’t live there for so long, so I’m not worried.”
Chase’s base was in Jol City, so Jayne knew he wouldn’t stay in the family for so long.
“Oh. Your family is in Capital?” Jayne remembered Chase was from Capital.
“It used to be there, but now it’s in Pollas Island.” Chase leaned on the sofa.
Then he explained as he saw the confusion on Jayne’s face. “My father ran away from the family and founded my family, so I thought I only have one relative, my father, but then I knew my grandfather and other relatives are in Pollas Island.”
“Well. Where is Pollas Island? I never heard it before.” Jayne asked curiously.
“It’s a little island in Europe, so it’s not well-known,” Chase said.
“Where is Cassie? Is she staying with her grandmother?” Chase asked then.
“She is out with her aunt.” Jayne sat down beside Chase.
“Oh! How long should we stay there? I have to make some arrangements for the company.” Jayne suddenly asked.
“Maybe one or two days. I have no much time to stay there.” Chase answered.
Jayne nodded and then called the managers to make some arrangments.
