The man’s move was so fast. He turned his wrist and sent a dagger stabbing Chase.
But Chase was faster!
Chase buckled the man’s wrist and screwed, making the dagger stab the man’s belly.
The man stepped back with fright on his face. Then he covered his belly and turned back, ready to run.
Chase sped to him and kicked him to the ground.
The man rolled on the ground and intended to shoot Chase with a handgun.
Chase immediately kicked the gun away and then trod on the man’s chest.
“Chuan Xue or Xenia Xiao?” Chase stared at the man.
He thought it was Xenia before, but now he changed his mind.
Chase had set up Chuan and made him scared last night, so Chuan was the most possible suspect.
The man didn’t speak but looked at Chase with a sneer.
“You can die with peace if you answer my questions or suffer a lot.” Chase knew most killers kept firm principles, but he had to know the answer.
The man snorted, and then crunched the poison hidden in his teeth.
It was just their principle. The killers had to keep the customer’s secret even the price was death.
Chase was sullen as he saw the man’s body begin to shake.
The killer died just after one minute.
Chase didn’t care about his death, but he had to know who was going to kill him.
Chuan or Xenia?
Chase frowned. He had to keep cautious since he didn’t know who the enemy was.
“I have to try the girl tonight.” Chase thought. He couldn’t wait for their plan.
Then he searched the killer’s body but found nothing.
He had to destroy the sniper gun and the handgun, the dangerous weapon that might hurt the ordinary people.
Just as he was ready to leave, he glanced at the killer’s dagger and found a strange picture.
He took the dagger in hand and observed carefully. It was a skull with a dagger on it.
Chase frowned. He had never seen such a picture. Was it a symbol of an organization of the killers?
He decided to ask someone to study it.
Chase took the dagger and then went back to the restaurant.
“What’s going on?” Reba breathed a sigh of relief as she saw Chase come back.
“He ran,” Chase said pitifully, and took off Reba’s coat on his body.
“Should we call the police?” Reba worried a lot. Here was not a familiar place, so it would be hard to deal with such a matter.
“No. We can’t make those enemies alert.” Chase then threw the coat to Reba.
Reba nodded and didn’t say anything.
…
Reba sent Chase a message about the explosion at night.
According to the message, the biotechnology company was a scientific research institution founded by Country A and Country J together.
It claimed to study the medicament, but no one knew the specific information, so few people paid attention to that company.
Chase also didn’t pay much attention. He was just curious.
“Does Xenia come back?” Chase sent a message to Reba.
Reba replied after one minute. “No. Is there any problem?”
Chase could feel the jealousy through Reba’s message.
He smiled and went to take a bath.
As Chase intended to sleep after a bath, he heard someone knocking at the door.
He went to open the door and saw it was Reba.
Reba looked worried.
“What’s going on?” Chase asked.
“A message from my friend. It’s from Country A, and will spread to our country soon.” Reba was anxious.
“What message?” Chase frowned as he saw Reba’s sullen face.
“The company suffering the explosion today is a secret base studying the biochemical weapons under Country A and Country J’s orders!
The explosion must get the virus spread out. The related people in Country A said they also didn’t know what was going on. If they can’t deal with the virus, it will bring destructive damage to Country J, even the whole world!
Though the government of Country A claimed it was fake, many scientists believe this. I think we have to give up the marker here! It’s a toxic cake!” Reba said.
“Biochemical weapons?”
Chase was shocked. He was reminded of the abnormal wounds on those dead bodies on TV.
“I think it’s possible. The high techs from Jay Sis Technology must have forced Country A to take such a risk. They know they can’t develop the same high techs in a short time, so they have to take another way. It’s reasonable for them to study the biochemical weapons.” Reba analyzed.
