One day before.
That afternoon, Mario looked anxious, waiting for a phone call from Raphael. If there are no obstacles, today is the schedule for both of them to go to Paris following Tristan and Aurora.
However, Mario has been waiting for news since morning. However, he didn’t receive a single call from Raphael. One of the leaders of Foxtail specifically did not come down to work today. So, there was no way he was so busy that he forgot to contact him. It also crossed Mario’s mind. Did the father of Aurora forget, or maybe he left him on purpose?
Damn!
Mario reflexively cursed when the cell phone he kept in his coat pocket suddenly rang, jolting his consciousness. Once reached, Mario can read Tristan’s name, which is displayed on the screen of the bright object.
“Hello, Mr. Tristan.”
“Mario, are you ready?” asked the man on the other end. “I’m ready, Mister. Now, it’s only a matter of waiting for Mr. Raphael’s signal when we leave for the airport.”
“Mr. Raphael hasn’t contacted you yet?”
Holding his phone, Mario shook his head. In fact, how could Tristan see his movements? “Until this moment, he has not once contacted me.”
“Well, you wait. He can’t forget. He may still be working on something right now. But speaking of work, I’ve just sent you the documents to continue the Smart City tender. First, submit the document to the development division. Please what I have calculated carefully so that it will not be contested, let alone revised. Everything is following the materials our company uses.”
“All right, Mister. I’ll do it right away after this.”
“See you, Mario. I am waiting for your arrival in Paris. After closing Tristan’s call, Mario hastily did what his superiors ordered him to do. As soon as he finished, he went to the building lobby.
Unintentionally, he even ran into Sophia, who suddenly came to Foxtail to visit because he wanted to ask about Tristan, who couldn’t be contacted. After explaining, the conversation between the two was stopped when Raphael finally called and asked Mario to pick him up immediately.
Not wanting his boss to wait, Mario hurriedly left. As soon as he arrived at the Quartararo family’s residence and helped tidy up everything, they decided to go straight to the airport and leave immediately for Paris.
“Mario, why do you look so restless?” asked Raphael. He repeatedly found his son’s assistant checking the watch on his wrist while they were on their way. Air to Paris.
“It’s all right, Mister. I can’t wait to meet Mr. Tristan.”
“Ah, I see,” said Raphael, nodding. “I also can’t wait to meet my two children and join the celebration of tomorrow’s wedding.”
Hearing these words, Mario, who was sitting next to Raphael, reflexively turned his head. So he thought again about Aurora, who, in the end, had to be married off by his boss. After what happened to him and Aurora the other day, Mario was still hoping to thwart the marriage of the woman he had deliberately targeted. Or, if necessary, during the party later, he only is the groom.
“Mr. Raphael,” blurted Mario.
“Yes, is there something you want to talk about?” Raphael asked while checking the cellphone in his hand. Said Raphael.
“There’s no need to beat around the bush.”
Gathering all his courage, Mario then spoke again. Tristan and Mrs. Aurora?” Raphael turned his head. He looked at Mario’s face, which at that time had an expression as if he was waiting for what answer he would give.
“Depends,” Raphael answered. “What do you mean?”
“Yes, it depends. Even though they don’t love each other, both of them have agreed to both want to get married. I will not forbid it. After all, Tristan and Aurora were adults. They should be aware of the consequences of their choices.”
“Aren’t you afraid that one of them will be hurt or regret this choice?”
Raphael shook his head unexpectedly.
“No, Mario. I told you, they’re both adults. What they choose, the meaning has been thought out very carefully. What can I do even if the marriage doesn’t work out later? That means they are not matched. As simple as that.”
“But by the way, Mister,” continued Mario. “This is just an example or just a parable.”
“Yes, what parable?” would you agree?” Raphael lowered the glasses perched above his nose. and Threw a scanning gaze at Mario. Examined the man’s appearance from head to toe and then answered.
“No problem. I’m not the picky father who requires my daughter to marry a certain type of man. If Aurora likes you, it’s not a problem for me. Besides, I also know you as a responsible man.”
Without feeling, Mario pulled the corners of his lips into a smile. If Raphael allowed it, it meant that all he had to do was convince Aurora to turn to him.
“So what?” asked Raphael then. “Do you intend to marry Aurora?”
Mario immediately put on a look so surprised. “Huh? M-me?”
“Yes? Do you like my daughter and intend to marry her?”
For a moment, Mario even gaped at a question like this. Never mind dreaming. He just never thought he could have Aurora. The last few times he tried to approach, his efforts kept failing even though he felt he had done his best. Not to mention what happened between them. It should make it easier for him to conquer Aurora’s heart.
“Is that possible?” asked Mario with a look of disbelief on his face.
“Why not possible?”
“As I recall, your daughter and Mr. Tristan are getting married soon. Of course this makes it impossible for anyone to approach Mrs. Aurora.”
Laughter immediately fell from Raphael’s lips. I don’t know what made the man suddenly feel funny. “Says who?”
“Isn’t tomorrow their wedding?” Mario immediately put on a confused look at Raphael.
“Of course not, Mario,” Raphael replied casually. “Tomorrow there will be a wedding. But not Tristan and Aurora’s wedding.”
“Good grief.” Mario immediately exclaimed with wide eyes. Then in the next second, the man breathed a sigh of relief because it turned out that the woman he was after was not married as he had feared the past few days. “I think they’re both going to get married like Mr. Tristan told me.”
Raphael shook his head. Before responding, the man took a sip of the lemon tea one of the flight attendants gave him. After moistening his dry throat, the man spoke again to Mario.
“Not for now, Mario. After all, Tristan’s status is not yet officially divorced. So how can he marry in the near future. Tristan is also not the type of man who easily moves to another heart in a short time.”
“That means at a later date after all the trial is over, Mr. Tristan still won’t marry Mrs Aurora?”
Raphael nodded his head again. “Looks like there won’t be any marriage between the two of them.”
Mario’s eyebrows immediately knit together perfectly. Many questions now appeared in his head.
“Why? Has Mr. Tristan found another candidate?”
“No,” said Raphael. “Not Tristan, but Aurora who canceled the marriage vows between the two. For some reason I also don’t understand because my daughter didn’t explain in detail. So if you want to try to approach her, maybe now is the right time.”
Mario smiled. Whether this is just a feeling or it’s true, Raphael seems to give him the green light to chase Aurora. Now, it was up to him alone to be able to convince the stubborn woman. As Mario and Raphael’s plane landed perfectly in Paris, the two of them rushed to where Tristan and Aurora lived. When they arrived, they were immediately greeted by the Quartararo family.
Mario was even directly ordered to clean himself as well as change clothes. He was asked to join a large family dinner before starting the wedding tomorrow afternoon.
“You’ve finally arrived,” Tristan greeted Mario as they met in the dining room. All nuclear families without gathering there. Get ready to eat unique dishes that the maids have prepared.
“Just so you know, Mario can’t wait to get here.”
Sitting next to Aurora, Raphael seemed to answer the son’s words.
“Oh, huh? That’s a lot.”
“Yeah, it looks like there’s someone he wants to meet right here,” Raphael said again.
“Who?” Tristan’s eyes narrowed sharply at Mario. I watched very closely the sitting man sipping orange juice in his hand.
“Of course I can’t wait to see you, Mister. I have some work I can’t finish unless I see you in person.”
Tristan nodded. Exhaling, the man smiled broadly. “I thought there was someone else you wanted to meet.”
“No, Mister,” said Mario quickly. “Yeah, just in case you’re impatient because you want to see Aurora.”
Hearing his name being called, Aurora, who was enjoying her meal, immediately choked. He reached for the glass of water in front of him, then gulped it down, but it didn’t relieve the cough he was experiencing. Tristan was even surprised and then helped rub the woman’s back many times to feel more comfortable.
“You are okay?” Tristan asked for sure.
“Hmm … it’s okay,” said the woman quietly. “If you eat, take it slow, Aurora. Besides, why be surprised when I say your name? Aren’t I just kidding?”
Aurora turned and then threw a sharp glare at Tristan.
“Your jokes aren’t funny, Tristan!”
Instead of apologizing, Tristan laughed again. Ignoring Aurora, the man continued to talk to Mario and Raphael instead. They all exchanged stories for a long time. Until Sophia suddenly contacted Mario, asking the man to help find a ticket so she could catch up with Tristan, who was in Paris.
In fact, at that time, she wanted to talk about the wedding party, which didn’t involve Tristan and Aurora. But, on second thought, it would be better if Sophia continued to follow Tristan, who was in Paris. Who knows, after this, their relationship, as well as their marital status, can return to normal.
At least Mario could calmly keep his boss away from the woman he was after. So after the dinner ended, Tristan and Raphael returned to their respective rooms.
Meanwhile, Mario, who was still receiving phone calls from one of his clients, chose to sit on the balcony of his room. Until his net caught Aurora’s presence from a distance walking towards the room where she was staying.
Disconnecting the phone call, Mario hid in one of the wall partitions so that Aurora would not see his whereabouts. As soon as the woman stood up, intending to open the bedroom door, Mario immediately approached and pushed Aurora’s body to enter the room. Closing the door as fast as lightning, then pressing the woman so that she leaned against one corner of the wall while still holding her hands so she couldn’t move.
“Mario, have you gone mad!” Aurora exclaimed with a look full of surprise and anger. His expression seemed to show that he was not happy with the presence of the blonde-haired man.
“Don’t make a fuss, Aurora. Your voice can get everyone’s attention in this house.”
“Let it be!” said Aurora, deliberately raising her voice. “If necessary let Tristan see your impudent behavior.”
“I don’t want to do anything,” Mario said defensively. “I just wanted to make sure you were doing well.”
“For God’s sake,” said Aurora. “You really have disturbed my composure. Why do you keep bugging me?”
“I’m not bothering you,” said Mario. “I just—”
Mario’s voice stopped when there was a knock on Aurora’s door at the same time. Rolling her eyes, the woman pushed Mario out of her way. Before opening the door, Aurora motioned for Mario to stop babbling and stay where he was.
“Tristan?” The word was the first to slide when Aurora opened the bedroom door. Turning his head, he could see a figure of Tristan standing right in front of the door, and for some reason, he had come into his room.
“What’s wrong? You need something?” asked Aurora. Deliberately did not open the door wide so the man would not see the situation in his room.
“No, I think I heard a noise like a door slamming. Is something happening to you?” investigate the man. “Ah, maybe you heard wrong,” said Aurora. “Nothing happened to me here. I’m even changing and getting ready to rest.”
Tristan nodded. Not the least bit suspicious of what Aurora said to him. “That’s it. Then I’ll go first. Don’t forget to lock your bedroom door.”
Once she made sure Tristan left. Immediately Aurora closed and then locked the door. Back to Mario and then hit the man angrily.
“You see what happened to your behavior? If I wanted, I could have pulled Tristan in to see what you’ve done.”
Mario sighed, and soon the man sighed softly. “I’m not afraid, Aurora. Please just call Tristan. Let us both tell him what has happened to us before this.”
Aurora glared back disapprovingly. He pushed Mario’s body to get out of his way.
“Now, quickly get out of my room. And you need to remember carefully that nothing ever happened between the two of us. So stop bothering me!” Mario didn’t argue. Since it was already late at night, he chose to obey and rushed out of the room. Before actually leaving, the man gave a warning to the beautiful woman next to him for the last time.
“I won’t give up, Aurora. I’ll definitely get you.”

After lunch, Tristan got ready by immediately wearing the broken white tuxedo he had brought from London. As soon as he ensured his appearance was perfect, he approached the bride and groom.
He waited for the signal until it was not long before it was ready to go to Le Maurice. Once at the venue, Tristan could see how all the guests had gathered. The groom was also standing waiting at the altar.
Full of confidence, Tristan took the bride to the venue. Less than 100 meters away, suddenly, unexpectedly, someone grabbed his arm. He was deliberately blocking steps.
And as soon as he turned around, he found Sophia’s figure already standing there. All the eyes of the guests seemed to be on the formation of this beautiful woman. Having managed to find the whereabouts of Tristan, who was walking towards the altar, she took a big step without the slightest hesitation. He deliberately approached and immediately grabbed his husband’s arm. She turned to look at him.
“Sophia?” surprised Tristan with such a surprised expression. Of course, he couldn’t understand why Sophia could be in front of him.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, confused. Sophia stared intently at Tristan’s face with a look that was hard to decipher. Shaking once, the woman said quietly, “Tristan, please, stop your plans to marry Aurora.”
Tristan’s eyebrows immediately knit together. Taking a step back, the man turned his body to face Sophia directly.
“W-what did you say just now?” Tristan’s expression still looked confused. “I married Aurora?”
Sophia nodded repeatedly. Still holding onto Tristan’s arm, the woman spoke again. “Please, stop all this. I know you might think I’m clueless now, but for God’s sake, I really still love you. So please come back to me. Let’s start over again like what you once offered me.”
“Y-you still love me?” Tristan repeated in awe. He didn’t expect Sophia to be able to say this in front of him.
“Yes, Tristan. I love you. I don’t want to lose you a second time.”
“Sophia.” From another corner, Sophia suddenly heard a voice calling from someone so familiar. As soon as he turned around, he was shocked to find a woman in a broken white dress standing not far from there.
“Aurora? Aren’t you—” Sophia pointed in surprise. Then at the exact second, the woman brought her eyes back to Tristan.
“If it’s not Aurora that you marry, then who is this woman next to you? Do you have a new lover?”
“Just a minute, Sophia,” Tristan interrupted. “Since earlier did you mention the word married? Honestly, I don’t understand what you mean?”
“Isn’t this afternoon your wedding?”
“Oh Lord.” Tristan exclaimed with wide eyes. “Today there will be a wedding procession. But not me and Aurora the bride.”
“You mean?”
“Yes.” Arsene nodded. “This afternoon Caroline, my cousin is married. Since her father has long passed away, I was asked to be the bride’s best man. Besides, can’t you see the groom-to-be waiting at the altar?”
Sophia gaped. Clearly understanding what Tristan had just said, he gulped uncertainly. Moreover, when he looked around, it was clear that all the guests seemed to be paying attention to what he had been doing.
Sophia’s actions were, of course, disgraceful. Without calculating, he trespassed to approach the bride and groom. Then he did not hesitate to stop the marriage process, which was someone’s fault.
With her face flushed with embarrassment, Sophia withdrew without saying a word. As soon as he was about to turn his body to leave, Tristan unexpectedly grabbed his wrist. Holding the pace, he asked Sophia to move.
“Don’t go,” he begged fiercely, shaking his head.
Ignoring the bride next to him, Tristan pulled Sophia towards him. Grabbing the woman’s nape without a word landed a deep and intimate kiss. All the guests there were stunned to see what the two of them were doing there.
