Sophia looks busy checking the evening gowns hanging in the closet. She took out almost all of it. Then attached to her slender body while looking again from behind the mirror. Thinking hard about which one is appropriate or not to wear at the party tonight.
Meanwhile, Tristan, sitting on the sofa, watched from a distance. The man could only shake his head at his wife’s behaviour, who had not found which dress to wear for more than 30 minutes.
“Sophia … how long are you going to stand there?” scolded Tristan, who looked increasingly bored. He has played on his cellphone many times to open various social media pages to eliminate the currently perched boredom.
“I’ve been waiting for you for more than half an hour. Actually what are you looking for all this time to look dizzy yourself?”
Sophia glanced over. Then she soon answered her husband’s protest.
“I’m dizzy having to choose a dress that is in the closet. I don’t think there is anything suitable for me to wear tonight,” said the woman angrily. Then brought his eyes back to focus on the contents of the cupboard.
Tristan immediately chuckled. In response to what his wife had just said, he stood up and immediately followed into the walk-in closet.
“For God’s sake, Sophia. There’s even 20 dresses in that closet that Mario brought and stacked in there. How can you say that none of them fit. Just so you know, I only brought seven suits that were even the color of the dress. almost the same.”
Tristan knows. Sometimes, the women like to act strange. They have a large collection of clothes, bags, or shoes in the closet that has not been used. But, whenever they want to go to a party or a celebration, they must complain about the same thing: not having any clothes. Confusing!
“We’re definitely different, Tristan,” Sophia said. “Besides, these dresses you bought are all models —”
“Not sexy?” cut Tristan squinting. “That’s why I forbid you to bring your own luggage.” The man then turned his body towards the cupboard. Reached out and then looked for a dress that would fit Sophia to wear tonight.
Until not long, his hand stopped on a white dress with lace accents mixed with flowers. Tristan immediately pulled it and gave it to his wife as he spoke.
“Just wear this. I’m sure you’ll look very pretty. Besides, the color matches the suit I’m wearing tonight.”
Without the slightest protest, Sophia accepted the dress that Tristan gave her. Before letting her husband go, Sophia bravely approached, tiptoed a little, and whispered right in Tristan’s ear.
“Don’t forget, dear Mr Quartararo, your wife is always beautiful whether you wear a dress or not.”
Tristan chuckled. Believing what his wife said. Nodding, the man opted out. He looked patiently for the second time on the sofa until his wife was finally ready to be brought to the venue.
As soon as the two arrived at the convention hall where Alabbar and Helena were holding the party, the guard on duty immediately distributed masks to all the guests. Tristan himself was asked to enter the venue immediately.
Meanwhile, Sophia and other female guests were immediately taken to another room to be given the same dress before being invited to join the game. After making sure that all the female guests had changed into the same dress, they were invited to come down to the dance floor.
All gathered while waiting for male guests to pick up and then invited them to dance. Everyone looks busy looking for their respective partners. Some are found. There is also the wrong partner recognition. Tristan is no exception. The man was busy looking around in all directions. Sharpen your vision while looking for a woman with the right characteristics and matching her wife. Until only two women were left on the dance floor, Tristan never made up his mind. Helena, who was standing watching, immediately approached. She lightly patted Tristan’s shoulder lightly until the man turned around.
“Why? Didn’t your partner meet?” Tristan immediately nodded. “Yes, madam. I didn’t find the partner I was looking for.”
Helena smiled. Seconds later, he pointed his hand at the two women on the dance floor. “Those two of them are also not your partner?”
This time Tristan shook his head.
“No, madam. I’m pretty sure they’re not the pair I’m looking for.”
Seconds later, Helena clapped her hands once in the air. Followed by the entry of a servant brought another woman from inside. Ask them to walk closer. After standing right between them, Helena looked back at Tristan as she spoke, “How about this?” She pointed at the woman wearing the silver mask.
Tristan immediately turned to the woman standing right next to him. Throwing a scanning gaze from head to toe. From his eyes, he saw that all the features displayed were similar to those of Sophia.
“How?”
Helena chased. Alabbar’s wife again confirmed whether the woman he was carrying was the partner he was looking for.
“Just a moment,” said Tristan. The man then leaned his face slightly to get closer. He checked again until he was soon sure of what he was feeling.
“This is not the woman I was looking for.”
“You are sure?” Helena asked again.
“Very sure.”
Seconds later, Tristan looked directly at the masked guests standing not far from him. Trying to keep looking. Who knows, Sophia may be among them until his eyes caught the figure of a woman standing not far from the table filled with drinks with her back to her position.
Tristan firmly believed this woman was the person he had been looking for. Without much thought, Tristan took a big step. He kept walking until he finally arrived and immediately pulled the woman into his arms.
“I catch you, Sophia Walters Quartararo,” he said with a triumphant smile, followed by a spotlight glaring at the two of them.
Meanwhile, the woman in Tristan’s arms slowly took off the attached mask so that it didn’t take long for her to reveal her entire face. Sure enough, it was Sophia who was there. All the guests clapped. Amazed by the success of Tristan, who could recognize his wife’s figure even though he was far from the dance floor.
Helena and Alabbar, who seemed enthusiastic, even invited all the invitees to raise their glasses together.
“Let’s toast to my special guests tonight, Mr and Mrs Quartararo. They are an inspiring couple.”
Together everyone saluted with a toast and then applause for Tristan and Sophia. Almost all the guests followed the dance party.
“I don’t think you can recognize me, let alone find me,” Sophia said while dancing and enjoying the classic song. Her movements were flexible, indicating that she was good at doing this activity.
“How could I not recognize you,” said Tristan with a smile. “Your whole body from head to toe, I know very well.”
“You’re overreacting,” Sophia squeaked later.
“I’ve been hiding far from the dance floor, so you don’t find me.”
The woman then laughed. “Even if I run to the end of the world, I’ll still find you, Sophia,” Tristan said confidently.
“You can never hide from my sight.”
All the participants seemed absorbed in the party. Arriving at the event’s core, Alabbar and Helena gave a speech, cutting the cake to signify that the main event had just started. Furthermore, the guests are welcome to enjoy all the dishes from famous chefs who are neatly arranged on the table.
Tristan, who had finished dinner, immediately mingled with the gathered business colleagues. While Sophia initially went with Helena to go around greeting the other guests. Until not long, he met with Nicholas and followed the man to the corner of the room.
“Congratulations, Sophia,” Nicholas said, raising his glass at her. A clear sign invites the wife of his best friend to toast.
“Happy?” Sophia’s eyebrows knit together. He was confused about what this time to say congratulations.
“Yes.” Nicholas nodded. “Congratulations that Tristan managed to identify until he finally found where his soul mate is. That’s an achievement that deserves appreciation.”
Sophia chuckled again, and soon she laughed. Thinking Nicholas’ words are just silly words that don’t need to be taken into account, let alone taken to heart.
“Why are you even laughing?” Now it was Nicholas’ turn to be surprised at the expression Sophia gave him.
“Is there something funny about what I said? Or maybe there’s something wrong with my appearance?” investigate the man.
Still laughing, Sophia shook her head repeatedly. Blatantly denied what Nicholas was worried about.
“Nothing, Nicholas Alistair. There’s nothing wrong or odd about your appearance. I’m just laughing at the soulmate thing you just said. Sounds pretty funny to my ears.”
Nicholas pulled his face away. The man’s brow furrowed deeply. What he said was serious, not just a joke. As a friend, he knew exactly what was happening to Tristan right now.
“You think I’m joking?” asked Nicholas.
“Of course. Besides, how could I be the soulmate of a Tristan Quartararo,” the woman argued, continuing to laugh.
“During a marriage, Tristan repeatedly said that he doesn’t love me. He married me for a reason, Nick. And I’m sure you all know the story, don’t you?”
Nicholas nodded. Sophia’s guess was correct. Tristan had already told Jacob and himself everything without hiding it. believe it or deliberately refuse to believe it with all the attitudes Tristan is now showing.
“Too bad. The two of you are a perfect match. They complement each other,” Nicholas said earnestly.
“Don’t make it up.”
“I’m telling the truth,” Nicholas said earnestly. “But, by the way, if Tristan really loves you, then what?”
“How, what?” Sophia replied.
“Yes if Tristan really loves you, how about your own feelings, Sophia? Will you reply? I mean love back or maybe hurt back like what he did to you?”
Sophia was silent for a moment. Even thinking about what Nicholas had just asked. If it happened to Tristan, who loved her, should she accept him for granted? or even reject it outright? or maybe even repay all of his actions so that the man can feel the pain he once felt.
However, instead of answering, Sophia, who at that time turned to the line of guests, accidentally saw Tristan from a distance talking with a beautiful woman who was probably about the same age.
From her eyes, Sophia could see how her husband was so close, as if they had known each other for a long time. Especially when the woman awkwardly hugged and kissed Tristan’s cheeks before they parted.
“Nicholas …” called Sophia. “Do you know the woman Tristan is talking to right now?” she asked curiously. So what do you know? As a friend and business partner, Nicholas knows who this woman is. Nicholas himself immediately turned to the figure in question. Sharpened his vision for a moment, then shook his head slowly.
“I don’t know her, Sophia. Maybe Tristan’s business partner. Or maybe his old date.” Hearing Nicholas’ words, Sophia’s ears felt hot. Trying to ignore it, the woman immediately walked over to the waitress who was walking around carrying a tray of drinks. Without hesitation, Sophia grabbed the one-drink glass and finished it in one gulp. Feeling lacking, he even took a second glass. Until finally, Nicholas saw and immediately hastily reprimanded.
“Gosh, Sophia.” Nicholas immediately shouted. “That’s not the way to drink champagne. You have to sip it slowly,” the man rebuked.
“Besides, you shouldn’t drink too much of it either.”
Sophia didn’t care one bit. She took another glass. Then he gulped it down again. At the same time, her head suddenly felt heavy. Her vision gradually began to blur. Even to stand well, he seemed unable. Nicholas, who saw this incident, immediately held Sophia’s body.
She even had to order one of the servants to summon Tristan, who was still standing not far from her position. Luckily the man immediately followed and then helped to take turns holding Sophia’s body, which was almost wobbling.
“How come?” Tristan asked, confused. “I don’t know. In fact, your wife was fine while talking to me. I tried to stop her, but Sophia kept drinking the champagne in her hand.”
Tristan sighed softly. Not wanting to risk anything happening to Sophia, he chose to withdraw from the party’s euphoria. Slowly and carefully led the wife, who was still half-conscious, to step immediately back to their room.

“Tristan, you’re so outrageous. Why don’t you ever change, huh?”
From his ears, Tristan heard how Sophia kept blabbering by calling and even swearing many times on his behalf. I don’t know how much she hated her. Even drunk, she still remembered what Tristan had done to her. After arriving in front of the room, Tristan immediately carried Sophia’s body. Then carefully lay the woman down on the bed.
Still in a very drunken state, his wife continued to speak incoherently and occasionally shouted hysterically like an angry person.
“You know, Tristan? I hate it when you lie to me,” the woman said with closed eyes. The smell of alcohol wafted up sharply until it pierced Tristan’s sense of smell.
“What else did I lie to you, Sophia?” he said as he opened the heels attached to his wife’s legs one by one.
Sophia suddenly laughed. After a while, the woman spoke quietly again.
“You are selfish! If I can’t show off my body with other men, you shouldn’t let other women touch your body. Why can he hug and even kiss your cheeks?” the woman mumbled continuously.
Tristan sighed in frustration. He had said it would be troublesome if Sophia got drunk. Now, what was feared was finally proven. He must be confused by his wife’s strange behaviour.
“For God’s sake, Sophia. Which woman are you referring to? I don’t even know where this is going.”
Lying down, Sophia laughed. The woman took her hand, tugging at the end of Tristan’s tie.
“I don’t like the woman you talked to at the party. I don’t like it, Tristan. I hate seeing you two hugging each other in public like that. You’re going too far!”
Tristan pulled his face away. The man’s brow furrowed deeply in the memory of what incident Sophia meant. It wasn’t long before he remembered what his wife had mentioned.
“Jesus, God. So you’re jealous? The woman you’re referring to is my cousin Sophia. She’s even married.”
“You are lying!” Sophia replied in disbelief.
Tristan chuckles. Not knowing how to deal with Sophia’s behaviour anymore. “It’s useless to explain anyway, Sophia. You’re drunk. So you’d better go to sleep now. We’ll continue this discussion when you’re awake.”
Tristan then pulled the blanket then covered Sophia’s entire body. Before leaving, the man took the time to kiss his wife’s forehead briefly.
“Have a good night’s sleep.”
However, something unexpected happened. As soon as Tristan was about to get up, Sophia deliberately pulled her husband so that he fell right on top of her. Smiling seductively, the beautiful woman muttered under her breath.
“You don’t want to kiss me here?” asked the auburn-haired woman, placing her index finger above her lips.
“Sophia . . . don’t mess around. You’re very drunk, right now.”
Again, Sophia laughed. Ignoring Tristan’s earlier words, he spoke again.
“Don’t you like me? Or have you never really loved me? That’s why you have absolutely no interest in kissing me.”
“Sophia…” Tristan called once more. “Stop your bullshit. Now go to sleep.”
Sophia nodded. Laughing, the woman replied.
“Yes, I’m going to bed. Forget about the request I just said. Now I know that you never really loved me, Mr Quartararo.”
Tristan closed his eyes tightly. Annoyed by Sophia’s behaviour, he immediately brought his face closer. There was no need to think much to land his lips directly on Sophia’s. Bite with tenderness and love. Tristan could even feel Sophia smiling in their kiss before she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep alone.
