Please Forgive Me

Book:Married to Jerk Ceo Published:2024-6-2

“Mrs. Sophia, did you hear our voices?”
The one whose name was called seemed to open her eyelids slowly. Try to be careful until you are finally able to open ideally. Sophia tried to nod as soon as she saw the group of people dressed in white in front of her. As a response to a vague question he heard when he had just woken up from a long sleep.
Sophia clearly remembered that she had been in her father’s worspace before. After noticing the dispute between two very important people in front of her, she was sure that her father was taking an object which turned out to be a weapon, from the drawer.
As soon as she realized that the gun was aimed at his husband, at that moment she ran. The intention is to prevent the father from doing things that will make it difficult for her in the future.
However, right behind Tristan, she felt the world suddenly turn dark. When she woke up, she suddenly found herself in the hospital.
After making sure, Sophia responded, one by one, and the medical team made observations. Checking carefully whether all the organs of the beautiful woman’s body are still functioning generally as before.
“Does your stomach hurt?” asked the doctor as he continued to examine.
“It’s a little sore,” Sophia said quietly, almost whispering, maybe because he is adapting to his current condition.
“Feeling nauseous? Want to throw up? Or maybe some other pain that makes you uncomfortable?” The doctor came back with so many questions.
At the same time, Sophia, who was lying down, tried her best to respond by shaking her head slowly.
“Nothing. It’s just that my head hurts and is one-sided like a migraine,” she said with her eyes slightly closed.
The doctor nodded in understanding. Understand what caused Sophia to feel this way.
“It could be the effect of the length of time you are unconscious or in a coma. In that case, the nurse will try to give you an injection to relieve the pain so you can be more comfortable than before.”
Sophia nodded again. After continuing the series of examinations, she was finally allowed to meet the closest people who seemed to be waiting patiently in front of the room where she was being treated. As soon as the door opened, her eyes reflexively caught the presence of the man she knew so well, Tristan.
Mixed feelings, of course, immediately invaded her heart. There is a side where she feels relieved because the man whose status as her husband is in good condition is even willing to come to visit.
Remembering how Tristan hated her so much, he couldn’t visit her unless there was an urgent need. On the other hand, Sophia felt angry. Especially after hearing the doctor’s statement that had made him almost crazy.
“Sorry in advance, I want to confirm something with the madam,” asked one of the teams of doctors who examined Sophia.
“Were you aware that you were pregnant before this incident happened?”
“W-what? Pregnant?” Sophia’s eyes were successful. Although his condition was weak, she was still surprised to hear the doctor’s question.
Previously, she had never felt the slightest signs of pregnant people. Trying her best to think, Sophia soon remembered something. Her last bed activity with Tristan was not in the least accompanied by taking the contraceptive pill as he had always done. Then a question arose in her mind, was it because of this that she became pregnant.
“Yes, madam. You came in a young pregnant condition. But I’m very sorry, because the bullet that lodged in your body hit the uterine wall, our team of doctors regretfully couldn’t help the fetus in your stomach. Even because this is also the uterus You have an injury that requires more attention.”
Not to mention that Sophia’s shock was gone, the doctor gave her another heart-wrenching news.
“Do you mean doctor?”
Cautiously, the doctor again explained. “In the future, it will be more difficult for you to get pregnant. Even if it happened, the risk was very big. Because it could endanger your own life.”
Because of this fact, Sophia had time to blame herself. Again, she asked her heart whether what was happening to him now was worth it for the man who had always hurt her.
In fact, after sacrificing, she had to come to terms with the fact that her condition would not be fine in the future. That’s why Sophia preferred to call Edward’s name when she saw all the relatives coming over. Asking the man to hug her reduces the pain and sadness he is currently feeling.
“Edward …”
The man, with vast strides, immediately approached. It’s not awkward to give a tight hug to someone you haven’t seen in a long time.
“I miss you Sophia. For God’s sake, I really miss you,” he whispered without letting go of her arm. “Every day I pray for you to come to your senses and come back with us.”
“Thank you. I missed you too,” Sophia replied after their embrace broke. “I thought, God has not allowed me to come back with you.”
“Don’t say things like that, Sophia,” Edward squeaked in disgust. How is he willing to be left alone by the woman he loves so much. “I’ll definitely be miserable if you leave this world.”
“Take it easy,” Sophia said. “You said yourself that I was a strong woman, right?” Then Sophia turned to her mother, standing not far from Edward’s position.
“Sophia.” Mikayla couldn’t help but cry. Of course very sad about what has happened to the Princess. Sophia almost died because of her husband’s actions. She couldn’t even understand that Alfonso had been involved in a big scandal and had killed innocent people. Usually, the man she has been with for years keeps this secret from the rest of the family.
“Forgive your Papa, son. Sorry for all the stupid actions,” squeaked Mikayla, still crying. It hurt her heart to see Sophia’s condition now.
“I’m fine, Mom,” Sophia said. It was the woman who tried to calm her mother down. “Dad didn’t do that on purpose,” she defended.
However, it does not fully justify the reason until this incident happened. “But, your papa has been processed by the authorities, Sophia,” said Mikayla. “Mama can’t do anything. All the evidence says that your Papa is guilty.”
Sophia seemed to be slowly sighing. While holding his mother’s hand, she again tried to answer what she had just said.
“However, Papa must be responsible for his actions, Ma. Hopefully after this he can come to his senses and get back together with all of us soon.”
While Tristan, who had been standing there all this time, didn’t even glance at Sophia. Maybe it was deliberately ignored, or the wife did not consider its existence at all.

Tristan could see how Sophia was now lying in a sleeping state. After being conscious for a while, the woman soon returned to rest. Because Edward had some unfinished business tonight, the man couldn’t help but go home for a while.
Meanwhile, Sophia’s mother, who looked exhausted because she had not slept for two nights, was forced by Tristan to rest for a while at home. This is done so that tomorrow when she returns to the hospital, her condition can be fresher than now.
Initially, Mikayla had refused. She was worried about leaving the Princess alone with his son-in-law. But because Tristan kept pushing and even persuading him, she couldn’t help but go home an hour after Edward’s departure accompanied by Alexius.
Now, the rest of Tristan is alone in the hospital, accompanying Sophia. He thought that because he had caused his wife to be treated as she is now, he was obligated to look after, supervise, and accompany her until her condition wholly recovered.
After all, that’s the job of a real husband. That is, if Sophia is still willing to consider him a husband. For a long time, Tristan was pensive. Deliberately took a sitting position right next to Sophia’s bed. Now and then, he noticed the woman’s face that seemed to be sleeping in her sleep. So peaceful, so restful. Until a thought crossed his mind as well as a question, why did he have the heart to hurt his wife, who didn’t know anything about the grudge he was harboring.
“Gosh, Tristan. Is this what you call regret? This time you’ve really gone too far with a woman who even sincerely loves you,” Tristan mumbled quietly. Then cupped his face furiously. Dizzy with what he’s been doing all this time.
“Now, even apologizing seems pointless. Sophia doesn’t necessarily want to forgive you. Besides, you really don’t deserve to be forgiven.”
Lost in his daydream, Tristan was soon startled by Sophia, who suddenly woke up from her sleep. It was evident in Tristan’s eyes that his wife was nervous and tried to get up from her sleeping position. Worried that something might happen, Tristan took the initiative to help.
“Sophia… what are you doing?” he asked gently. “You want something? Let me help you.”
Sophia didn’t answer in the slightest. Tristan could see how his wife looked at him with such a cold expression. There was no longer the warm and loving gaze that Sophia used to show her all this time.
“Sophia…” Tristan called once more. “You heard what I said, right?”
Initially, Sophia remained in her position, choosing to remain silent. But, five minutes later, after he took a small breath, the woman seemed to respond slowly.
“What are you here for?”
“I-I just wanted to help and accompany you,” said Tristan nervously. Suddenly he felt nervous being stared at by her wife so intently. In the past, he had often cast an intimidating stare at Sophia. He didn’t even bother torturing her.
“You think I need your help?”
“Sophia—”
“Enough!” Sophia cut in on purpose. “Don’t ever call my name. I don’t even want to see you in front of me like now.”
“Sophia…” Tristan didn’t care. Still, he chanted the name as if he was deaf to Sophia’s earlier order. “I know you must hate me very much after what has happened so far. I also realize that I may not deserve to be forgiven. But please, no matter what I will still apologize to you.”
Sophia shook her head. Even when Tristan tried to grab her wrist, she quickly brushed it off. Reluctant if the man touched it.
“Don’t be crazy! I can’t forgive you, Tristan. Especially after finding out for saving you, I have to lose my son.”
“Our daughter Sophia. That’s mine too, right?”
Sophia immediately laughed at the words Tristan had just said. Why does this husband not know herself at all? Did he just hit his head with a hard object to the point where he lost his memory?
“What did you say? Your son?”
Tristan nodded confidently. “Of course. I remember the last time we made love, I forgot to give you the birth control pill. That’s why I believe it was my child.”
Sophia laughed again. I was intrigued by Tristan’s explanation.
“After what you’ve done all this time, you just call it your child? Gosh Tristan, you don’t even want a child from my womb. And now? That child has to leave before I even have the chance to hug him, are you satisfied? feel happy because in the end the baby-to-be has to disappear from my side? I’m sure, this must be what you expect. Or maybe my death is what you really want.”
Sophia’s voice was shaking violently. Trying to hold back the pain mixed with emotions now running through his heart and mind. She immediately felt sad when he thought about the innocent baby that had to be lost from his womb.
“Sophia, for God’s sake, I’m not the least bit happy to hear this news. That’s why I sincerely apologize this time from you. I will do anything to make you forgive me,” said Tristan looking severe.
From her eyes, not even Sophia could find a hint of deceit there. But it’s still not easy to forgive after what he’s done all this time.
“No! I can’t just forgive you, Tristan,” Sophia replied later.
“Then what should I do, Sophia?” Tristan just kept pushing. Trying to keep asking, even though the hope looks pretty slim to be granted. For a moment, Sophia fell silent again. Seemed to think until soon she spoke again.
“Divorce me as soon as possible, Tristan. Maybe with that, I’ll consider forgiving you.”
Tristan was taken aback. Of all the conditions that Sophia might have put forward, he didn’t have the slightest thought of his wife returning to the subject of divorce. So, should he grant the request so Sophia can forgive all his evil actions in the past?
