“You take two people over there.” Seeing that the other man still couldn’t get through to Hon Zhou, Gage Zhou said in a deep voice.
The big man nodded and left the train station platform with the two of them.
“Gage! If anything happens to my daughter, I’ll have to kill you today!” Chase Chen shouted.
“You’re threatening me?” Gage, who was always arrogant and bossy, saw Chase threaten him and looked unpleasant.
“You may think so. You better tell me where my daughter is now. If you try any tricks, I’ll shoot you.” Chase said, drawing his pistol and pointing it at Gage’s head.
He had a vague feeling that Cassie must have had another accident. If it had fallen into someone else’s hands, he could have saved Cassie with money or whatever they wanted.
But if she had fallen into Ken Xiao’s hands…
He didn’t dare think about it anymore, he just felt cold in his hands and feet.
Seeing Chase pull a gun on his head, Gage’s men pulled guns on Chase and Phil Du, and Phil drew his waist pistol.
“All of you put your guns down, or I’ll shoot!” Chase shouted harshly.
The crowd didn’t dare make a move, and they didn’t dare shoot without Gage’s orders.
“Tell them to drop their guns!” Chase slammed a gun into Gage’s forehead and gave the order.
Gage looked in a bad mood. He didn’t expect Chase to make a preemptive strike and restrain him.
Although he believed that Chase wouldn’t dare kill him.
But that was on normal days.
Chase was worried something would happen to his daughter and who knew if he would do something crazy.
“All of you, put your guns down.” Gage took a deep breath and said to his men.
If he’d known Chase was so determined, he shouldn’t have gotten so close to him. Gage was now regretting that he’d just gotten a little cocky.
But what worried him more was what had happened to Hon. Why hadn’t he come after so long and couldn’t reach him?
He was now being held hostage by Chase, and if something had happened to Chase’s daughter, he wouldn’t know how to explain it.
“Is the Zuo’s trying to blackmail me?” Gage suddenly thought of Keen Zuo.
Keen came up with the idea for this operation and offered him the location of Cassie’s kindergarten. But, none of Zuo’s Family came, instead of saying that he’d buy the raw gemstone channel back from Gage for another 100 million yuan.
Gage thought it would work, and as long as he had control of Cassie, he was sure Chase would comply. So he didn’t care if the Zuo’s came or not.
Now that he thought about it, he felt he was being used by the Zuo’s.
It was him over-thinking.
The Zuo’s had been victimized by Chase several times. Both Keen and the master of Zuo’s Family head already had a shadow on Chase. Coupled with Zhang’s Family’s tragic situation, there was no way they would fall out with Chase over a raw gemstone channel.
They stayed out of it to keep Chase from suspecting. If Gage succeeded, they would rather spend a hundred million yuan to buy back the Gage’s raw gemstone channel than take a risk on Chase.
“Kick all the guns over here,” Phil shouted, pointing his gun at the crowd.
The crowd looked at Gage and saw him nod before they all kicked their guns over.
Phil gathered up all the guns, over ten in all. He then called Barth Hu and the others, so they didn’t all have to guard the outside and bring some people in.
Soon Barth arrived at the station with over twenty people. Gage couldn’t help but look at Chase in surprise at the sudden arrival of so many people.
He originally thought that although Chase had Wade Xie as his backing, he would not connect with the underground forces.
But Phil and the others looked like people from the underground forces, and he couldn’t help but break out in a cold sweat.
These men were out there ambushing them, and even if he got the channel today, he wouldn’t safely leave Jol City.
At Phil’s signal, Barth and the others had all of Gage’s men tied up.
“Say! Where is my daughter?” Chase muzzles Gage hard against his forehead.
Gage’s forehead hurt from the muzzle, but he winced when he saw the cold look in Chase’s eyes.
“I’ll take you.” Gage compromised.
Now he was like a fish on a cutting board, only at the mercy of others.
Instead of taking the car, Gage walked there. Chase was sure the place was close and didn’t drive.
Barth kept an eye on the dozens of people, and Phil went with Chase.
If anything happened, the two of them would be able to take care of each other.
A few minutes later, they saw the three men that Gage had called to come over with Hon.
Hon still had blood running down his forehead.
But after a brief treatment, he was fine.
When the four saw Gage, who was being held by Chase with a gun to his head, they immediately drew their pistols.
Without Chase having to say a word, Gage hastily shouted, “Put your guns down, all of you! Throw it to the ground!”
Gage knew something was wrong as soon as he saw that Hon was wounded.
Now he was at the mercy of Chase’s gun, and Chase’s daughter was lost in his hands. He was responsible for this, and maybe Chase really would shoot him.
So he couldn’t let his men anger Chase anymore.
Hon and the others had to reluctantly throw their guns at their feet.
“Kick over!” Phil said coldly.
The four men did as they were told, and Phil gathered up the four pistols.
However, Chase didn’t see Cassie, and his heart sank to the bottom. His hand with the gun was clenched tightly and had a strong desire to kill.
“What’s going on?” Gage looked angrily at Hon.
Hon took a breath before speaking carefully, “Gage. Sorry, I got careless and lost the hostage.”
“Bum! What’s going on?” Gage shouted in anger.
Hon said somewhat angrily and humiliatingly, “I was taking your call, so I took the hostage and got ready to get into the car. But Another man showed up at that construction site. And I was knocked unconscious by him with a stick from behind.”
“Loser! A complete moron! You’ve failed at this, go back and see what I’ll do to you!” Gage was so furious that he would have rushed over and kicked Hon a few times if he hadn’t had a gun to his forehead from Chase.
“Are you sure the other guy was a construction site worker?” Chase asked.
“Why should I answer you, who are you?” Hon’s mind was depressed, and he immediately yelled back at Chase when he heard what he said.
Bang!
Chase didn’t say a word and shot him.
