Chapter 224 A Shameless Elder

Book:My Legendary Husband Published:2024-5-1

The next day, Josh said that he liked off-road cars as Chase intended to buy a car for him. Chase chose the Benz G350 for Josh.
It was the first time Josh drove such a luxurious car. He was so excited that he even broke the traffic rules twice on the first day he sent Cassie to school.
Cassie also liked that car and said that it was more comfortable to sit in G350 than in Chase’s Steinway.
Josh’s work was boring since he had to stay not far away from Cassie’s kindergarten when Cassie went to school, so Chase gave him five hundred thousand yuan and asked him to play nearby the kindergarten.
Though nothing happened to Cassie these days, Chase kept caution.
He had hired several real mercenaries to protect Jayne with a high salary of forty thousand per month. He had summoned twenty-four, but only four could stay after a test examined by Chase personally.
The four signed a contract that they must protect Jayne well. Even if the bullet came to Jayne, they should block it with their bodies.
Being a bodyguard was not an easy job, and their high salary was also an exchange of always being at risk.
Many capable soldiers preferred to be bodyguards instead of mercenaries except for those who enjoyed the war.
Because compared with being hired in the army, the bodyguard was much safer.
The rest twenty mercenaries who had failed the test had been arranged to be the high-level security to guard Jay Sis Technology.
The salary Chase offered was much more than it of being mercenaries, so they were glad to work for Chase.
Chase planned to hire more mercenaries when Jay Sis officially opened.
There must be many advanced technical products and skills that should be protected well in Science Park.
But this plan was for the future. Now the urgency was to find out Mr. Mu. Otherwise, Chase would never know where Ken Xiao was.
And what Ken Xiao intended to do.
Since Ken forced Chase’s father to leave Capital, she must not let Chase go easily.
Chase didn’t worry about himself, but Cassie and Jayne.
Even Ken might plan to destroy Jay Sis.
“Hope she doesn’t know Jay Sis is mine.” Chase thought.
It was five days before Chase’s plan to move to the new house. Jayne told Chase one of her relatives would move to a new house tomorrow, too, so they had to go to the new home and congratulate.
Jayne and that aunt were close before, but since her cousin, the aunt’s son, fell in love with her, Jayne seldom visit them.
“Tailong just graduated from a famous university abroad and is working in a huge company. His salary must be high enough to buy a new house in only a few years.” Jayne casually said.
Tailong was just her cousin, who loved her before. Shell used to persuade Jayne to give up Chase and marry Tailong.
Chase nodded. He knew Tailong, as well. They were both students at the University of Jol City, but Tailong was senior.
Tailong was intelligent and knowledgeable, so he was bound to have such an achievement.
The next day, Chase followed Jayne to Tang’s new house. It was in a luxurious neighborhood, in which the houses were all too expensive to buy for ordinary office workers.
When Chase got to there, some Tang’s relatives were already here. Tailong’s father, Shale Tang, came to welcome Doug.
“Oh. Old Lin! You’re late. I’ve already led them to have a look at my new house! You can look around yourselves.” Shale laughed, his tone full of boast.
His house was comparable to some ordinary villa, making him so proud.
Doug and Shell were embarrassed. They had to manage bitter smiles. “Old Tang. You’re enjoying life now, so admirable.”
Actually, Doug was comfortable. The job Chase had offered him was so great, with a high salary, insurance, a car, and free time for working, enough to make all others there be jealous.
Doug preferred to keep a low profile, so he never showed off in front of his friends.
But Shell was dissatisfied.
Chase was wealthy but didn’t buy a new house for Shell.
Actually, Chase and Jayne just planned to move to the new house, and they had still not told Shell and Doug about their great villa.
Even Jeannie and Helena were so busy working, so they also didn’t tell Shell about this.
Now, Shell still didn’t know that Chase had bought a new villa in Dragon Lake and planned to move there days later.
“I’m just relying on my good son. He bought a new car for me days ago. It’s too expensive, but I couldn’t stop him!” Shale then glanced at Chase and Jayne as he boasted.
“Doug. You must be regretful. You refused to let Jayne marry my son, but now she married such a coward! Little Chase. Are you still working as a security guard? Hahaha!” Shale was so shameless to mock a junior!
