“He lives in the SL Village of Bay District.” Joel Shawn said as he searched for the information on the internet.
“Do you have his phone number?” Chase asked.
“No.” Joel shook his head.
Chase nodded and then called Josh again. It was still powered off.
“Let Hale Yu be the supervisor again,” Chase said to Joel.
“OK. Actually, Hale behaves well these days.” Joel was stunned and then nodded.
Hale and Milne were used to be Chase’s biggest enemies, who fought against Chase all the time and even set Jayne up.
But out of Joel’s expectation, Chase was still willing to forgive them.
Chase had already promoted Milne to be the manager days ago and now supported Hale again, which was totally an end for their hatred.
As Chase went out, Joel stared at Chase’s back, admiring that Chase was really open-minded.
“Mr. Lu. You’re leaving?” Seeing Chase go out, Hale Yu hurriedly came over to give Chase the car key.
“Yes. Work hard, and the company will always reward those who work hard.” Chase took the key, and then patter Hale’s shoulder.
“OK! I will work hard.” Hale was cheered up. It was the first time Chase acclaimed him.
When he thought that even Milne could be promoted again, Hale thought he had known Chase’s meaning.
Chase must have wanted to promote him again!
Sure enough, when Hale got to Joel’s office, Joel patted Hale’s shoulder and said. “Mr. Lu is so generous. He promoted you to be the supervisor again, so don’t let him down.”
“Thanks! I won’t let you and Mr. Lu down!” Hale swore with excitement.
“Good. I won’t stay in our company for so long. The people in charge of our company will be Jayne Lin, so you’d better be obedient to her.” Joel reminded Hale. Hale was the old employee Joel had personally promoted, so Joel was willing to warn him. Joel knew that he would be transferred to work in Jay Sis Technology, and the general manager of Duncan Electronics should be Jayne soon.
“OK. I got it.” Hale nodded.
“You can go now. The appointment will be made tomorrow.” Joel said.
Just as Hale left with excitement, Chase already asked the Three Lions to buy some gifts and prepared to go to SL Village, HY Town.
Chase felt something mush have happened to Josh, so he had to have a look personally.
The driver was Tate Lin, who was quite good at driving, making Chase so comfortable in the car.
As they approached HY Town, the wide asphalt road was over, followed by the narrow and broken cement road. When they got to a narrow path, some trucks blocked the way facing the red traffic light, followed by some smaller cars whistling behind.
It was just time for Tate to show his driving skills. Tate drove the car out of the road and into the field for tens of meters, and then drove it back to the way again, left and right, rushing out of the traffic jam.
“You’re good at driving. You can be my driver later.” Chase smiled.
“It’s good! It’s so boring staying with them all day, but much interesting to stay with the young master.” Tate laughed.
“Good boy! You’re actually the most bored one among us!” Hale Song laughed at Tate.
Tate smiled, but it was a traffic jam again.
It was a broken road that had been ignored for so long, but now it was closed and being rebuilt.
Many cars were stopped there, and no one could move forward.
Tate turned the wheel and then drove onto that road. He drove so smoothly that the car dodged all the barriers. As they got to the end, they found that some police officers stopped the trucks to check if they were overweight.
At this time, a policeman saw Tate driving the car out from the rebuilding road, so he beckoned Tate to stop.
Tate didn’t care about the police. He gunned the engine, and then the car rushed out of the road to the field.
The policeman found the car running away, enraged much.
But when he intended to see clearly the car number, the car suddenly drove back to the road far away from the police, and the policeman’s eyes were blocked by the tall trucks!
“F**k!” The policeman cursed and had to give up to catch up with Tate’s car.
“You’re skilled! From today on, you are my personal driver.” Chase said to Tate.
“Yes, sir.” Tate nodded with excitement.
It was so good to become Chase’s driver.
“Young master, how about us?” Joe asked.
“Of course, you two have to help Phil.” Chase smiled.
“Alright.” Joe nodded with disappointment.
“Take your time, Joe.” Hale comforted Joe. “Just learn from Phil. The young master said we have to manage the stone’s company, and it’s the only way for us to be legal.”
“Work harder. I’ll make you legal soon.” Chase promised.
The three all nodded. Soon they got to SL Village.
SL Village belonged to Jol City, and was not far away from the central city, but was quite poor. The village contained many broken houses, and even people there kept some old-fashion customs.
Today was just the day for the fair opening, so the street was crowded, filled with people, motorbikes and vans, but few cars.
So, Chase’s car had gained much attention as they got in the village.
“Sir. Where is Josh’s house?” Tate shook down the car window and asked an elder in his fifties.
“Just go along this road, turn left after walking two hundred meters, and then walk more three hundred meters. The house under the biggest scholar tree is just Josh’s.” The elder pointed at the front.
“Are you looking for headmaster Xu’s house? I can lead you.” A ten-year-old little boy said with curiosity.
“Good! Get in the car.” Chase nodded and then opened the car door. Then the boy rushed in with excitement as if it was the first time he had sat in such a luxurious car.
As they got to the biggest scholar tree, the boy pointed at the door under the tree. “Here it is! Old headmaster’s house is there.”
Tate stopped the car, and then the boy ran out of the car. He shouted as he ran. “Old headmaster! Honored guests come to visit you!”
