Chapter 28: CALL FROM ELDERS

Book:MATED TO THE LYCAN Published:2024-6-2

Jefferson looked around and sighed. He had racked his brain but to no avail it was blank.
“You should all go back to your respective houses. But mind you I’ll still be looking for the culprit who caused the attack so you should all report any suspicious action by anyone in the pack,” Jefferson said loud and clear for all the pack members to hear.
Immediately the pack members nodded their heads in understanding, looking at Jefferson.
Seeing their actions Jefferson nodded in satisfaction and went out of the conveying ground.
Getting outside he breathed in a large amount of air looking at the sky.
“You’ll all pay for your sins,” he muttered.
Right now he was angry. The wolf pack had made a fool of him by attacking his pack.
They even tried to take his mate away. What audacity was that? He was infuriated by their actions.
Thinking about it alone made his blood boil and he didn’t know when his aura was released.
Immediately his aura was released. Everywhere became suffocated and no one was able to move.
“Sir you’re killing us with your aura.” A voice said behind Jefferson.
Immediately he heard the voice. The aura coming out of his body disappeared like it wasn’t there in the first place.
Turning around Jefferson met with a chubby-looking man clad in strange attire.
“And what do you want?” He frowned.
“Sir I’m sorry to disturb you but the elders of the pack want to have a word with you.” The chubby-looking maid said bowing to Jefferson.
“Those old men,” Jefferson muttered he wasn’t in the mood to go to their place as he was feeling angry with them. But he had no choice. Though he could be arrogant toward anybody he couldn’t do it toward the elders of the pack. There was no way he would do it.
Sighing he followed the chubby-looking man who had already gone without waiting to hear his reply.

Inside the Rumlock bar In one of the rooms. Abigail opened her eyes slowly as the ray of the sun penetrated her eyes through the window.
She noticed she was on a bed. Immediately all memories of last night came back to her. Though it wasn’t her first time having sex this one was a memorable one.
She couldn’t help but think about it. Though she pretended to be drunk yesterday she wasn’t drunk it was all just an act.
Looking by her side she saw a stack of cash with some written notes on the bed.
It was obvious that it was left by the man whom she spent the night with.
Immediately Abigail’s dangerous aura was released, seeing the cash and note.
“Who the hell did the man think he was? Did he think she was some sort of prostitute or a whore?”
She didn’t lack money so what would she use his filthy cash for? Looking at the cash on the bed and the note Abigail became even angrier.
The more she stared at the cash and noted the angrier she got. Nothing could pacify her.
She was sure that with the amount of wealth she had she would be richer than the richest man in the whole human world.
So how dare this punny human leave a stack of cash for her when she only wanted a nightstand and nothing more?
Immediately, she got up from the bed and entered the bathroom to wash up. After washing up she dressed and sniffed the room for the man’s scent.
Immediately she caught it, her eyes dilated red before they changed back to normal.
She opened the window of the room and jumped from the four-story building.
She felt using the stairs or elevator would be stressful so she decided to use the window.
The people who were going about their business suddenly saw a hot woman clad in blue jeans and a black shirt jump through the window of the clubhouse.
Immediately they all thought it was a suicide attempt and rushed to call the police but were left in shock when Abigail jumped down from the building landed on the ground safely and sped away like nothing serious happened.
The scene happened so fast that none of them thought to record it.
Immediately this happened many quickly brought out their phone to take pictures of Abigail but she was too fast and was gone before they could take it.
Abigail who had jumped down the building had a smirk on her face. She was heading to the location of the man spent the night with. She was going to teach him a lesson. How dare he disrespect her by leaving her some cash and some other useless note.
She wasn’t angry because of the note but it was the cash that made her angry.
Right now she was running faster than most cars on the road. So people didn’t get the time to react, not talk of bringing out their phones to record her running.
The feeling of the breeze against her body was good.
Though she liked it she wasn’t concerned about it. The only thing she wanted was to get to that idiot place as soon as possible.
She had been having a bad feeling about something happening at the pack; she was sure her brother would be able to resolve it.
She planned to teach the human who disrespected her a lesson before she left the human world to the pack.
Once she left she didn’t know how long it would take for her to come back to this place.
Soon Abigail got to the front of a building and stooped.
She was sure this was where the scent of the man was coming from.
The building was a skyscraper. It looked magnificent to Abigail but she wasn’t carried away. The one she had here in the human world was a lot bigger and more beautiful than this one in her front.
She knew she had to enter and go through some annoying formalities before she would be able to see that idiot of a man.
She could feel the aura of the man from the topmost floor and she could tell he was the boss here so seeing him would be rather tough.
Abigail disregarded all this and walked towards the gate of the building. The automated gate opened immediately and she got near it the guards just looked lustfully at her body.
But she could care less about them as she considered them shrimps.
She walked to the receptionist and looked at her.
The receptionist was a woman in her early twenties clad in a white shirt and skirt above her knees. From the way she looked, Abigail easily knew she was a newbie at the job.
Going up to the front desk she stared strangely into the eyes of the receptionist before speaking.
“I want to see your boss.”
Immediately the receptionist became confused with the dominating actions of Abigail.
