“Really? That’s great, thanks dad! Daddy is the best!” Jenny was elated when she thought about the possibility of marrying Allen.
“You this girl, you must refine yourself. In the event that you marry into the Tim family and become the lady of the household, your present behavior is unacceptable.” Mr. Frazer couldn’t help to nag at her. He had some high hopes for his youngest daughter.
The Tim family was well established and powerful. If they were to be joined in marriage, then the Frazer family’s stature would naturally rise in tandem.
“Rest assured father, I won’t let you down. When it happens, I’ll let Allen love no one else but me!”
Jenny laughed confidently and full of anticipation.
“Okay then!” Mr. Frazer nodded in content.
…
At the Dragon Villas, Belle was looking at a newspaper and smiled coldly. She was wondering about the expression on Cathy and Ken when the news broke about her scandal. Even if she couldn’t see them, she could easily guess it.
Her cell phone rang and as soon as she answered, Bonnie’s voice came over the phone.
“Belle, explain carefully to me, the scandal in today’s newspapers and magazines, were they done by you?
Belle wasn’t upset to hear Bonnie question her. She placed the newspaper down and walked to the bedside, she raised her smile and said, “I knew I can’t get it pass you. Yes, I was responsible for it, why?”
“Ha ha, it was brilliant! That must have felt great! Come, come over and accompany me. I’m in a good mood!” Bonnie’s laughter came roaring over the phone. That laughter spread over to the cold and chilly Belle. “Okay, where shall we meet?”
“How about Brannigans? Today I will take you out for a drink and celebrate! Heh heh!”
Belle hung up the call and looked at the time. She lowered her head and looked at the cell phone for a moment.
She was wondering if she should give Allen a call. If she were to have a drink with Bonnie, she’ll definitely be back late that night.
As she was hesitating, the phone rang. It was Allen.
“Hello, I’m Belle!” She answered calmly.
“Belle, what are you doing? Do you miss me?” The call brought the care and tenderness of Allen, warming up Belle’s heart.
Her expression was still cool but her ears started to flush and said, “No!”
“Really didn’t miss me, eh?” The reply was cheeky and playful while joking.
Belle gnashed her teeth and said, “A little!”
On the other end of the call, Allen lit up when he heard her reply. He snickered and smiled while feeling warm throughout.
“Really? Belle is thinking of hubby!” Allen emphasized the words hubby. True enough, when Belle heard the word, her cold expression instinctively blushed.
Even if Allen couldn’t see it, he could imagine Belle’s adorable face when she blushed. He wanted so much to hold onto her tightly in his arms that very moment.
“Is there any matter?” She asked calmly to cool off.
“Oh, tonight I’m meeting several friends for dinner and would like to introduce them to you. Do you have anything on?” This was the first time he introduced her to his friends.
“Tonight? I’m afraid I made an appointment with a friend. You guys go ahead!”
Belle frowned and was slightly troubled. She just agreed to meet with Bonnie for a drink and could only reject Allen.
“Okay then. The friend you’re meeting tonight is a male or female friend?” Allen wasn’t happy that his girl had an appointment that night. If it’s a male, then he can’t promise that he wouldn’t rush home and get her to bring him along.
“Female friend!” Belle replied immediately.
Allen was more relieved when he heard that it’s a female friend but he still wasn’t pleased. What woman friend could let her abandon her own husband?
Since having Belle, he wished that he could be by her side every single moment. He was worried that someone will snatch her away from him.
“Then give me a call when you are done. I’ll pick you up!” Allen said.
“Don’t bother, I’ll come home by myself!” Belle said.
She doesn’t know how late she’ll be when drinking with that Bonnie. She can’t drink that much but Bonnie could drink like a fish.
“I insist. I have to work now. Tonight I’ll pick you up!” Allen practically didn’t give Belle a chance to refuse. He hung up as soon as he finished speaking.
That night, at Brannigans’ eighth level’s one and only luxury private room, several well-dressed, professional elites gathered.
“I say, Mr. Tim, didn’t you agree that you’ll introduce your wife to us tonight? Don’t tell me that you have yet to settle this?” A man seated across of Allen said, smiling and joking.
This man was David, Allen’s best friend since he was a kid. The Spader family was Freemantle City’s leading military family.
“It can’t be, I was already surprised enough when you broke your fast after thirty years. Now there is a woman who doesn’t prioritize her time for Freemantle’s number one eligible bachelor? Are you kidding me?”
Benny started to laugh and looked at Allen’s cool and lazy expression. He felt that there can be no woman who doesn’t like Allen. That woman must be playing hard to get.
Allen was inexperienced with women. Had it been him, he would have easily controlled the woman.
At this point, he started to think about Belle. He wondered where that bitch hid. He searched for her for two days and still couldn’t find her.
She better hope that he doesn’t find her otherwise, he would torture her to death. When he thought about how that woman escaped from his grasp, he couldn’t help but expressed his disdain and fury. Apart from her, no other woman has ever dared to disrespect him. The thought of that woman frustrated Benny and his expression turned furious and vicious.
