Soul Before Body – Part III

Book:DEIMOS (Alpha of Alphas) Published:2024-6-2

“I understand, Deimos. I will wait for you.” I reply.
“We are close, trust me. Soon, my female, I will finally have you.” Deimos looks down at me with a soft smile.
“Is that so?” I ask him with a playful hint in my tone as I slowly crawl to straddle him. He shifts back into the couch so I am sitting on top of his thighs completely. He takes my entire weight placing his hands on my hips bringing me closer to him in one pull and I can feel his breath on my lips.
A gasp leaves me and his eyes go back and forth from my lips to eyes. I move forward to taste his lips but he moves his head backwards. I try again and he does the same again. I tilt my head confused as his fingers softly brush my cheeks.
“You know what I did… that day when I… I wouldn’t have gone further than that, Lumina. You know that right?” He asks looking deep into my eyes so he can see my truth directly even if my mouth speaks lies.
“I know. I trust you, Deimos.” I smile as he softly places his lips on mine giving me a gentle kiss. It is neither rough nor fierce. It is as soft as a feather being placed upon my lips. A kiss of lovers.
“All right, lovebirds. How about we get this party started?” Ragon interrupts us and I giggle as Deimos looks as if he is about to kill.
“Let’s go have fun yeah? We all need this.” I tell him softly as he nods in agreement.
We get up and head to the kitchen counter. The food is ready and I am ready for it to fill my belly. “So what first? A little music, wine, and dance or – .” Ragon begins as Deimos cuts him off.
“Food first. My female is hungry.” He says looking down at me as I blush deeply. They all nod and begin taking it to the front porch placing it on the bench table.
The view is beautiful. The orange and yellow flames from the fire merge with the darkness of the trees we are surrounded by. The moon pierces her light deep into the darkness so all the colours mix into one and give off a beautiful aura.
“Eat, mate,” Deimos says placing food onto my plate. Jace and Elriam sit opposite us as Ragon sits on the chair nearby.
“Who built this house?” I ask curiously looking around.
“The previous Alpha did. It was a gift for Alpha Deimos.” Ragon says gulping down his beer. I look left at Deimos. He quietly eats his food focusing on his plate. I shouldn’t have asked that question. It might be hard for him to think about it. I need to change his thoughts.
I move closer to him whispering into his ear. “I can think of many things we can use this house for,” I say placing a kiss on his cheek as the wolves seated whistle and hoot in response. Deimos’s eyes widen as his face snaps to mine and I laugh from my belly.
The dinner was wonderful. Laughter engulfed the silence and the wolves produced more warmth than the fire. I watched Deimos’s laugh and took in every one of his words and laughs that left his lips. His every feature, I engraved it deep into my mind.
A/N:- Play song 🙂
Elriam hands me a beer as Ragon puts on some good music. “How about a dance, my love?” Ragon asks Jace as Jace’s face goes from calm to disgusted.
“I’d rather dance with Elriam.” Jace folds his hands across his chest replying with a smirk.
“Elriam forget him. How about a dance with me?” Ragon turns around to ask Elriam.
“Sorry I want to dance with Alpha,” Elriam replies looking at me.
“Then-” Ragon turns to Deimos but before he could ask Deimos sends out his empty threat.
“You may ask me if you wish to be killed,” Deimos replies calmly drinking his beer. We all laugh in response.
Ragon sighs and turns up the volume. As the music begins to play louder Elriam takes my hand and twirls me around that startles me. I laugh all giddy. I begin to feel the music twirling myself, swaying my hips as I thrust my hands into my hair. My eyes closed, I move with every beat and every word.
“This feels amazing, Elriam. Something we never got to experience and now my heart is so full I want to cry.” I say as she smiles placing her forehead on mine. She moves towards Ragon and says something to which his eyes light up and he nods eagerly with a smile.
I feel the heat of my male behind me as he softly sways us. I place the back of my head on his chest. “Looks like she asked him for a dance.” He says as I open my eyes to see Ragon and Elriam dancing.
I turn around looking up at him. “And why is it that you haven’t asked me yet?” I ask him staring him down playfully.
“Dance with me?” He asks me with a tilted lip that shadowed a playful smirk.
“Yes,” I say holding onto his neck as he and he quickly grabs my hand and pushes me backwards, still gripping my hand and tugs me back towards him. Holding my lower back he bends me down and brings me back to his chest in one pull.
I laugh and I laugh. His eyes twinkle as he gazes down at me with a softness I never thought I’d see in him. As we calm down and just stare at each other swaying slowly, the music behind us fading as his eyes have captured mine. I only see him. He only sees me.
He places his forehead upon mine and whispers, “Soul before body.”
I place the palm of my hand on his heart closing my eyes and whisper back, “Soul before body.”
