Emily’s p. o. v
My hand was still linked to Cole when he drove into his friends pack.
Every person who was walking quickly stopped moving. Some had cold glares on their faces while others looked terrified.
I couldn’t understand why they were looking at us in such a way when Cole assured me how his friends would be thrilled to have us.
The ladies quickly gathered the young ones and rushed them into their houses ahead. A few well-built men quickly came running from afar and stood a bit further from our car.
I looked at Cole and noticed how calm he was.
“I can’t mind link them since I’m not part of their park. I just have to go through with this pretty soon.” He murmured under his breath then looked at me with a smile.
“You stay here okay. I’ll go and talk to
….” He cut his words short as I gasped loudly in fear.
A man stood outside the car with his hand on the window. He had a cold glare on his face and his eyes were pure gold.
My heart was rapidly beating and I knew that the man outside wasn’t there to welcome us at all.
“You stay put.” Cole whispered in a deep husky voice as his eyes turned into a pure red.
I watched him as he pushed the door open with force sending the man flying to the ground.
“I’ma fuck him up so bad.” He growled then stepped out and shut the door behind.
Cole approached the man on the ground slowly while he pushed himself back.
I glanced at the group of men watching and noticed one rushing towards Cole at a fast pace.
I quickly moved to the door and tried to open it when Cole turned just in time to block the man’s fist which was aimed at his face.
Cole grabbed the man’s hair from behind and hit his head against his knee in a split second. The man stumbled a bit and fell on his knees with a loud whimper.
The man with golden eyes quickly got to his feet and rushed to grab Cole’s collar when Cole caught his hand in mid-air and twisted it. I held in my breath when he elbowed the man in his stomach hard. The man took a few steps back while coughing blood, his nose too was bleeding.
The man on the ground yelled something out and that seemed to anger Cole even more.
He moved closer to him and lifted his leg in mid-air. When he put it down it was aimed for the man’s neck breaking it.
I watched in horror as Cole leaned in and thrust his claws in the man’s back, blood spurt on his shirt tainting it.
He stood up and rubbed his clean hand on the wet shirt covered in blood with a frown.
The man in front of me was no longer the man I knew and loved but a killer who had no hesitation when striking.
A tall well-built man came out rushing from what looked like a pack house and stood still looking at Cole. He soon shifted his gaze to a group of men ahead then at the man coughing blood. When he looked my way I quickly lowered my gaze. I was scared of everything that was going on, everything was so wrong!.
I took in a deep breath and released it before slowly rolling the window down.
“You dare try to growl at me and touch my car with my luna in it?” Cole growled fiercely startling me.
“I’ll rip you all apart.” He spat then moved to approach them when the man who had come from the pack house quickly rushed in front of him with a smile.
“Ace, calm down. I was about to inform them all over your arrival, but I got a bit busy talking to….” The man cut his words short when Cole grabbed his neck tightly.
The man’s eyes turned into a shade of dark red for a second as he growled loudly.
Cole dropped his hand from the man’s neck with a sigh as the man slightly coughed and rubbed his neck a few times.
“Brother.” Cole whispered.
The man laughed then pat his shoulder a few times.
“Welcome to our pack.” He said.
“Your men are very disrespectful.” Cole whispered then turned to look at me.
“They dared to even threatened my woman.” He spat then walked towards me and opened the door
“Emily….” He called softly as I quickly moved back in fear.
My heart couldn’t calm down from its rapid beating and my throat was very dry.
“Did you kill him?” I asked in a whisper as tears filled my eyes.
“Ye…..”
“No.” The man who he had called him brother answered while he approached us.
“My warrior is just unconscious, the blows he had received were a little too hard. With time he will recover.” He said.
I looked at him for a second then back at Cole.
“Is he telling the truth?” I asked.
“To be honest…” He began.
“I am, I’m really sorry that you had to see that …. Emily was it?” He asked covering Cole.
Cole glanced at him with a raised brow.
I knew he was lying, how could someone survive such brutal hits. He definitely was dead.
“Babe,” Cole called when he shifted his gaze on me.
“Cole I….” I trailed off as tears rolled on my cheeks.
“I am scared of you and this place.” I whispered in my mind knowing fully well that he could hear me.
Just then a lady approached us and stood next to Cole.
She was calm and seemed to not see the dead body on the ground.
“Hey, I’m Mia.” She whispered while extending her hand to me.
I hesitated but moved out of the car and took her hand. I was so scared of everyone, but for some reason, she looked different and gave off a friendly aura around. I didn’t want to trust her but she was the only lady I could see.
“I’m sorry that you had to see that. I too was threatened when I saw such a scene. But believe me when I say that he will heal. Their training is ten times worse because he is a warrior.” She said softly surprising me.
Was she telling the truth or lying?. But then again at Cole’s pack, I saw how Naomi’s wounds were slowly healing when Cole inflicted them on her.
“Can I ask what your name is?” She asked softly.
“Emily,” I answered in a cracked voice.
“Emily, would you like to have some coffee in the pack house. I’ll explain everything, and we can get to know each other better.” She said softly.
“Okay,” I whispered then walked with her to the pack house.
