I glared at Beca coldly while she stood next to me outside my house.
“What?” She asked loudly.
“Don’t what me lady. You know what you did wasn’t right. I trusted you when you asked me to take you to the Alpha, I had no idea that you said all that because you liked him.” I answered on top of my voice.
“Are you insane!” She yelled on top of her voice as well pissing me off.
“How can you think that I’m in love with the Alpha when I don’t even know the man well. Have I not been confessing to you over how I feel these past years?. I have told you a lot of times how much I’m in love with you and only you alone. I understood when you gave me a cold shoulder and treated me like a total brat. But what I still don’t understand is why you can’t give me a chance and let me love you.” She said sadly.
I took in a deep breath then released it.
I knew how she felt and yes I did like her. Sadly not in a romantic way because she wasn’t my mate. She wasn’t what my wolf and I needed. No matter how beautiful or kind she was, our heart was already beating for another. And that was our mate.
“Because he has a mate.” Rhoyda’s voice came from ahead.
Beca quickly turned to look at her.
When she stood in front of us, we quickly gave a slight bow.
“Alpha.” I greeted in a respective tone.
“What was your name again….?” She asked Beca calmly.
“Beca alpha.” Beca answered softly.
“I like your name a lot. And I do have a feeling that we are going to be amazing, close friends.” Rhoyda said with a soft chuckle.
“Really?” Beca asked in disbelief.
“Real….”
“What exactly are you trying to do Rhoyda?” I asked seriously cutting her off and dropping the formality and respect.
“What do you think beta?” She asked back.
“Um excuse me ken, but you don’t have to talk like that to the female alpha.” Beca whispered then bumped my arm playfully.
Rhoyda was about to walk towards her when I quickly stepped in between.
“Rhoyda please don’t do it.” I whispered under my breath.
I could feel her aura clearly changing. She was getting upset with Beca for some reason.
“Did you not hear her call you by your name?. Who gave her the right to do so?” She asked seriously with dominance lancing through her voice.
“Alpha I’m sorry.” She whispered behind me.
“You are sorry?” Rhoyda asked mockingly.
“Rhoyda please cut it out. Beca is not only someone close to me, she is also special.” I answered strongly.
I wasn’t going to let her mess with my emotions. She didn’t want me with her neither as a mate nor a pack member. If not for her wolf she would have rejected me a long time ago and she made that clear. That’s why I wasn’t going to bend to her will or give her any sort of satisfaction.
Beca moved and leaned her head against my back.
“Thank you.” She whispered.
I was about to respond when Rhoyda jumped on me with a loud growl causing me to stumble and fall. She was on top of me pinning me down. Her eyes were a bright red as she gazed into my own furiously.
“How dare you.” She growled in warning, her voice was husky and strong.
“Alpha can we talk?” I asked in a labored breath knowing full well that I wasn’t facing Rhoyda anymore but her wolf.
“You are mine beta, you belong to me.” She spat then moved her hand to my chest.
I tensed and looked away when she moved her finger to my first button and ripped it off with her claw.
“Your mind…” She trailed off then ripped the second one.
“Your heart.” She whispered then ripped another one.
“As well as your body, they are all mine.” She growled then ripped them all, exposing my bare chest to her.
She moved her hand and grabbed my chin strongly making me look her in the eyes.
“No one is allowed to touch you in any way or look at you.” She spat as I burst out in laughter confusing her.
“Now you want me Alpha. Why?. After you rejected me and made my heart ache.” I said coldly with emphasis.
“It wasn’t me.” She answered seriously.
“Oh fine. It really wasn’t you. Then why the hell did you let her do that to me. Didn’t you think of how badly it would affect us?. I pleaded with her and willingly submitted myself to the both of you. But it wasn’t good enough, was it? Now that I have decided to give myself a chance to happiness, you decide to show up from nowhere and treat me like this. Is this what you call love and respect?” I asked her angrily.
When a teardrop fell on my face I quickly inhaled deeply.
“I tried talking to her. I even begged her not to hurt you. But she couldn’t listen. I have wanted you since the very first day I set my eyes on you. You are my mate as well as the man I love and want to submit to.” She cried out.
I felt my strength leave as my wolf began to whimper. She was in pain and her crying meant a lot to me. Alphas were full of pride, crying wasn’t an option.
She really did want us and she was showing it in her actions.
I moved my hands and pulled her in my embrace as she lay against my chest sobbing.
“Well…..”
“Kiara.” My wolf whispered.
“Kiara, we don’t hate you at all. On the contrary, we now love you even more than before. To us, you are the only one we want. Rhoyda might not want us but you do and that’s all we needed to hear. We will stand by your side and love you with our whole heart till our very last breath, we promise you.” I said softly then held her tightly.
She loved and accepted us, that’s all we have ever wanted.
We didn’t care about Rhoyda’s hurtful words anymore. Now that we were holding Kiara in our arms everything felt different and much more beautiful.
