I kept quiet and pressed my hand on my chest, my heart was badly aching and Kiara was whimpering loudly.
All I wanted to do was to comfort my mate who had been so hurt and lonely because of me in the past.
“I’m sorry.” I whispered then rushed Into my room and locked the door. I truly was a coward.
“Go back.” Kiara growled at me.
“No, and please understand how I feel, this is all too sudden for me to take in.” I whispered softly.
I knew how Kiara really wanted our mate, for years she had been hoping that we would run into him. There was never a day that she had lost hope.
Finding out that Jason had found his mate made me happy, but at the same time made Kiara sad.
“You stay away from my sister for now. I don’t want you forcing her to do anything that she doesn’t want.” Jason said outside my room.
I sighed sadly and rubbed my hands together to calm myself down.
“I won’t Alpha, actually I have decided to leave. I only came here to ask you to return to our pack. I didn’t plan on staying here with you anyway.” Ken answered.
I quickly stood up from my bed and went to open the door. My heart was aching badly and I was so scared of losing him again. Kiara was whimpering loudly.
Jason and Ken looked at me seriously and waited for me to talk.
“Ken, could you please stay here for a few more days. My wolf really needs your closure.” I whispered softly.
He looked at Jason for a second then nodded.
“Sure.” He answered.
“Fine, just don’t do anything that would piss me off.” Jason said then went downstairs.
I quickly closed the door and leaned against it.
I didn’t know what to do. His scent was driving me crazy. I was fighting myself and the urge to run into his arms and beg him to mark me.
“Rhoyda.” He whispered softly outside my door.
“I know that you hate me a lot, I mean I’m way older than you and not a suitable mate.” He said sadly.
Was he kidding me, that’s exactly what I had thought too but now, I was looking at him differently.
I turned and opened the door for him to come in. He looked at me in shock then walked in hesitantly.
I closed the door behind me and turned only to be pinned against the wall. He was looking down on me with golden eyes while breathing heavily. My breath was laboured as well and I was trying so hard to keep Kiara from taking over.
“You are mine.” He growled Loudly when I looked him in the eyes and swallowed hard.
I was really his and there was no way of denying it, his growl was not intimidating to me because I was an alpha. It was actually attractive and so sexy.
I lifted my hand and pressed it on his cheek gently. Tracing my fingers tenderly on his nicely made jaw. Kiara was softly purring and pushing me forward to do more than I was already doing, we needed his closure more than ever.
“Kiss him.” She whispered snapping me out of my daze.
“No, I can’t.” I whispered then dropped my hand and pushed him away from me slightly.
He stumbled a bit but managed to keep his balance.
“I can’t do this with you ken, I’m sorry.” I said loudly.
His eyes went back to his normal colour. He moved to the bed and sat down.
“You mean you can’t mate with me or accept me as your mate right?” He asked sadly.
I could feel the pain in his voice. He was really hurt by me.
I swallowed hard and kept quiet, I didn’t trust myself to answer him back. It was hard not to confess how I was feeling for him.
“I’m an ugly old man, who is creepy and weir….”
“Stop it!. That’s not true!” I yelled out loudly.
I carefully looked at his face then his built.
“You are far from ugly, you are actually very handsome. You have the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen in my life. Your lips are so tempting, and your black hair makes me want to brush my fingers through it just to feel its richness. Those few strands of grey hair makes you look more matured and wiser than any man I had ever known. Your height has always been impressive, I love how you tower over me and gaze into my eyes lovingly. Your body is a pure work of art. I haven’t seen you naked yet but I know that you definitely have abs worth drooling for. Right now I’m dying to take off your clothes and taste your lips, but sadly I can’t. How can I close my eyes to the fact that I took you as a father figure in my life, you were the only family I had besides Jason, you are like an uncle I look up to. Yes at some point I started realizing that you were overly protective towards me and it turned out to be creepy for me. It also pushed me to leave your place. If you were to tell me then that we were mates, I could have laughed at you and called you weird. But now everything is different. I don’t want you but yet I can’t let you leave, at least not now. My wolf is crazy for you and I feel like I’m losing my mind.” I said seriously.
He stood up and brushed his hand through his hair.
“Reject me.” He whispered.
“What?” I asked in shock.
“I said reject me.” He answered again.
“No, didn’t you just hear what I had said?” I asked loudly.
“I did, that’s why I want you to reject me now before I mate you against your will.” He answered.
A part of me was happy that he wanted to set me free, while the other part was angry with him for giving me up so easily.
I took in a deep breath and closed my eyes. I could feel the tears form in my eyes.
“Do it now please.” He pleaded.
“I just want to see you smile at me. I want you to laugh and comfort me. I wanted to reject you then, but now you are just forcing me to do it.” I yelled loudly then opened my eyes and let the tears fall.
His expression softened. He moved closer and embraced me.
“I’m sorry, please don’t cry. It wasn’t my intention to make you cry. I promise that I won’t force you again.” He whispered softly as I held him close and calmed down.
