Deli sat up abruptly, listening to the faint knocks on the door. She wasn’t really expecting anyone as Scott didn’t even inform her if he was gonna visit her again.
She stood up when she was certain that someone is really knocking on the door. She walked to the huge, black wooden door and wanted to ask who it is but the faint scent that drifted into her nose sent her face twisting with a cynical smile.
She hurriedly opened the door and certainly wasn’t expecting that he’d rush forward to hug her. She embraced him back tightly and shut the door behind him since he is obviously not in the right shape to do.
“What’s wrong?,” She could feel his troubled heart as he raised his badly bruised face to look at her. She nearly grimaced in pain when she got a good view of his face.
Some of the cuts looked like he’d have to stitch them up. Not like all these really matter to him though since the injuries would heal themselves.
“Who did this to you?,” Concern laced her voice. It is unknown if the concern is real or fake. “I’m fucking going to kill that bastard!” This is his response. The bloodthirsty look on his face made Deli shudder.
But she knew better than to poke around so she just kept quiet, not daring to say a word. She walked to a small drawer and brought out the mini-sized first aid box in it.
Walking back to him, she began to dress his wounds. He was no longer bleeding. The dried blood smelt awful and she had to stop herself many times from scrunching up her nose in disgust.
She really hates the scent of blood. He looked at her with an unfathomable gaze as she dressed his wounds. “What?” She finally asked after she’d noted that he obviously wants to ask a question.
“Won’t you ask me who the ‘he’ I am referring to is?” His voice sounded uncertain as if he couldn’t believe she would go silent after what he had said.
Yes… It’s almost unbelievable. Most women would be intrigued to know who he is talking about since it’s female nature naturally to be curious about everything.
But she… She didn’t say a word. She even acted like she didn’t hear him. Deli shrugged, pretending to be nonchalant while struggling to hide her curiosity.
“You will tell me if you want to. I don’t need to poke around,” Her voice sounded calm and collected, the complete opposite of what she is feeling inward.
Scott sighed. He suddenly went silent after that. She’d thought he wasn’t going to say anything else but he suddenly spoke lowly, “My brother… If I had a chance to kill that bastard, I would have done so a long time ago.”
Is that the sound of gasping I’m hearing? Yeah… You just heard him right. He said to his brother. His brother as in Ryan. Deli didn’t look shocked or anything. She didn’t even react to his words like it was nothing new to her.
“What happened?,” Those two words opened the dam of revelations. And it’s going to be the greatest mistake a certain someone will ever make.

A few years ago, in Royal’s Pack…
Few maids were running helter-skelter. They ran to the west wing, then the east wing, the north wing and then the south wing. They finally came to a stop. One of them raised the question, “Why exactly are we running?”
Others looked at each other. Yes… Why are they running? “The Luna has gone into sudden labour! Get the witch doctor here or the shaman!” A voice rang out in the hall and they finally realized why they’d been running.
The maids exchanged a look and no one dared say a word nor did they attempt to make a move. Who would even dare to step out of the mansion when the whole pack is currently in chaos?
“What do we do now?” They whispered to each other. “We haven’t seen the alpha king for months and we do not know if he is still or dead. Moreover, the pack is currently under siege. All those terrible blood-sucking faes.”
“Not to mention those horrifying banshees!” One added.
“The skinwalkers and the shapeshifters too!” Another cried.
“We are doomed,” The rest whispered silently.
“But we need to get a shaman or a witch doctor for the Luna… It will be really horrifying and terrible if she is left to deliver a demon baby herself. Those are one of the most difficult creatures to give to,” The youngest of the maids reminded them.
Before others had the chance to say anything, the mansion suddenly rang out with a painful cry. It obviously belonged to the Luna.
The maids exchanged another look. But this one seems to be filled with resolute determination. Then the oldest of the maids rushed out.
A few hours later, the mansion rang out with joyful cries. Every wolf with mixed reactions. Luna Diane laid on the blood-soaked bed, completely pale. She already passed out.
There was a beautiful baby wrapped tightly in a cloth. The old witch carried the baby that wouldn’t stop crying. The old hag has been known to always have a frown that seems to have twisted her face into a horrible facial feature.
But at that moment, why does it seem like she had a smile on her face? Even though the smile still looks as terrible as her frown, it seemed to have made her face appear less terrifying.
“Kral,” She’d whispered, touching the soft hair curls with an unusual colour. It appeared to be crimson-coloured hair. A very unusual colour in this world.
But as she stroked the hair, it slowly disperse, bringing forth a bright shade of black instead.
“Why are you telling me all these?,” Deli suddenly interrupted Scott. “How do you even know all these? Do… Do you mean to say you are a heavenly creature?”
Her innocent questions almost made Scott smile.
