“Of course not mother… Someone has to be like dad. Emily being like you is already enough,” Lena remarked and left almost immediately. She didn’t even realize the impact of her words on her mother.
Emily was the one that stroked her mom’s hands gently and smiled at her. Standing up to live, she said, “Mom… It’ll get better.” Saying that she left.
Mrs Jones watched her leave and couldn’t help smiling sadly. ‘ Miles… Do you have any idea of how wise our older daughter has to turn out to be?’

“Scott, let me drop you off,” Chris offered as he walked to the garage with Ryan and Scott. Ryan was lost in his phone, browsing as always.
“No need. I am not going home. I have been staying with brother,” Scott announced loudly making Ryan look up to give him a playful glare.
“You won’t be staying there forever though,” Chris remarked meaningfully. He knows how Ryan is always pissed off whenever Scott comes over to his house and refuses to leave.
“He hasn’t complained yet so I’m sure it won’t be anytime soon,” Scott’s response made Ryan look up at him again. He immediately pretended to be oblivious as he pointed at a beautiful red sedan parked a few steps away from them.
“There’s your car Chris… Have a good night so you’d be ready to interview the applicants tomorrow,” Scott shooed him off.
Chris’s expression turned pitiful when he recalled the moment he had to go back to the laptop and discovered that Ryan accepted more applications increasing his workload.
Scott chuckled and told him teasingly as he walked away, “You’d look cute if you were a cat.”
Ryan didn’t give them any response. He only walked to his car with Scott closely behind him. When Ryan got into the driver’s seat and saw that Scott wasn’t even attempting to open the door, he arched his eyebrows.
“What’s going on? Do you plan to stand there all night? Get in and let’s leave. I’m starving!” He reminded Scott.
“Brother… I will meet you at home. I have work I need to do urgently,” Scott gave his excuse carefully. Ryan didn’t bother to hide his surprise.
Huh? He looked up but before he could say anything, Scott was already leaving. “Don’t prepare dinner for me… Don’t wait also. I’ll be late!” He shouted as he left.
Ryan felt weird with his words. Why did he just sound like a husband giving his wife instructions? He shrugged and put his earphones in his ears.
He then drove out slowly. At that moment, he is completely unaware of the fact that his eyes have changed colour. At a point though, he thought something was weird.
Cause when he got to a lane and there was a little holdup caused by the traffic, he had turned down the car windows. He was looking around when his eyes met the lady in the car nearby.
The moment she stared at him, she froze and he was stunned. At first, he thought that perhaps cause she recognized him that’s why she is reacting that way so he gave a wink.
She still didn’t react. Just kept on staring at him with her mouth opened wide. He felt a little pissed off and was relieved when the car in front of him moved.
As he left, he heard blaring horns from behind and checked the rearview mirror. He was surprised to see the lady still in shock and staring at his car as it moved.
So the minute he got home, he walked to his bedroom and checked the mirror. “Strange,” He muttered when he didn’t find anything strange in the mirror so why was the woman acting that way earlier.
He shrugged off his thoughts though and walked to the bathroom, suppressing a yawn.

Scott got off the taxi and tried to walk away but the driver immediately stopped him. “Sir… Your fare is just fifty dollars. But I have at least a thousand grand here,” the middle-aged man talked as if he couldn’t believe he was touching such a huge amount of money.
Scott frowned a little and checked his pockets. “I don’t have such a small change so just keep the change,” He said and left abruptly. It is unknown for how long the taxi driver remained there in silence and shock before he finally left.
Scott walked into the familiar club and had to close his eyes when the first day of blinding lights hit him. He walked to his favourite part of the club and stopped at the doorway.
He watched the scene going on the stage with anger. Deli was stripping so hard tonight that most of the guests there were lost in her beauty.
He even overheard someone just now bidding on her with his friends. His face clenched with anger that he tried to suppress. He walked to the assistant manager who is his favourite staff in the club.
“Ask Deli to come to my room immediately,” He ordered and turned to leave.
“But sir, someone has already…”
He didn’t let him finish his words before saying, “Compensate the person and get me your boss’s contact. I am going to buy Deli from her. First, ask her to come to my room now.”
The man looked hesitant but in the end, he nodded and replied, “Alright. I will do as you have asked.”
“Good,” Scott commended and brought his phone out as he walked away. The man’s phone suddenly vibrated and when he read the message, the unhappy expression on his face was immediately wiped off with a huge smile.
He hurried to the stage to get to the Deli quickly.
Scott wasn’t naked like the other time when a knock resounded on the door. He was sitting on a small seat in a cross-legged position.
There was a glass of wine in his hand. “Come in,” He told them lowly. Only Deli walked in and the door immediately shut when she walked in.
Scott looked at her with a hungry gaze. She wasn’t dressed in a transparent nightie like usual. Just a simple short gown and yet it was enough to get a reaction from him.
He gulped his wine, stood up, carelessly dropped the glass on the table and pounced on her.
