“Emily, did it come to your notice the pervert in that black car staring at us right now?” Lena queried, as she got off the bike for the annoying security guards to check whatever they want to check.
“You always notice everyone,” Emily gave her a curt reply. Lena frowned and pouted. “But he was staring at me!” Lena argued.
“Are you that pretty?” Emily teased her with a smile but Lena didn’t find it funny. “I didn’t notice anything. I was too busy facing the road that I didn’t notice the occupant of the car so I don’t know if he was staring at you or not.”
“I’ll make sure to give him an earful when next we meet. He could have caused an accident with the way he was staring elsewhere aside from the road,” Lena complained.
Emily didn’t reply. She just smiled and wondered why Lena is overreacting. Lena noticed then that one of the security guards was staring at Emily.
“Hey, mister! Is that the security check-up you are conducting? I didn’t know it also means stripping a lady naked with your eyes,” She startled him rudely. The security guard looked flustered that he had been caught.
He immediately released them and let them go. Lena glared at him as they mounted the bike.
“That girl is so rude,” Lena heard one of them say but before she could refute their words, Emily already sped away. Lena suspected she rode the bike so fast so she won’t be able to start another argument with the guards.
“I bet they won’t dare to hold us back when we return,” Lena mumbled but Emily didn’t hear her words cause of the rate at which the bike was making noise.

Faraway from New York in a banquet, a crowd stayed patiently in the hall. They seemed to be awaiting the arrival of someone.
As soon as a handsome but older-looking man appeared in the doorway, they all stood up to bow to him. He only acknowledged their greeting with a nod and he slowly walked to a seat laid out as a throne, a troop of warriors following behind him.
The crowd sat down as soon their king I suppose sat down. An older man stood up and spoke, “Alpha, when is the prince going to take up the responsibilities of the throne? You should already be aware that the throne is being coveted not only by other packs but other creatures.”
The alpha didn’t say anything and only nodded. Someone else stood up and spoke too, “Just a while ago, one of our warriors caught one of those horrible creatures, the fae hovering around our pack trying to find a way to infiltrate the matrix you put around it.”
“Yes alpha, we are afraid the power of the matrix is weighing down and won’t be able to protect our pack for much longer,” Someone else spoke from the crowd.
“I’ll have some of the witches and wizards check out the matrix later. They only need to intensify the spell and add another layer of it so it’ll be even harder,” Their alpha gave a solution.
The hall was filled with low murmur following his statement. About ninety per cent of the wolves in the coven agreed with his solution while the remaining ten per cent remained sceptical…
Oh! Did I mention wolves? That’s a mistake. The coven is filled with all kinds of supernatural beings from wolves to witches, wizards, demons and so many more.
And all these powerful creatures seem to be bowing to just one alpha. One can’t imagine the amount of power the alpha must possess to be able to rule over such powerful creatures.
“About the prince… He’ll take over the throne soon. There is no rush and I’ll be selecting some of you to help him in the training like your fathers helped me,” He answered their other question and most of them looked pleased now.
They stood up again as soon as the alpha stood up to leave. Obviously, the meeting is over already. But before the alpha reached halfway, someone cried out, “Alpha, do not forget, a powerful alpha needs a powerful luna to rule by his side.”
The alpha stopped walking immediately. No one could point out who said this in the midst of the crowd but the person seems to be hinting at the fact that the prince also needs a wife, Luna by his side to rule them.
“Everything will be taken care of,” The alpha replied calmly and walked out. The crowd was in uproar at the Alpha’s last words. Will there be a competition soon for the selection of a suitable Luna for the prince???

“I thought Scott would be here since he knows I’ll be here and that brat seems to be stalking me everywhere now,” Ryan spoke as he looked around the luxurious and spacious sitting room.
“He hasn’t been here today. If he doesn’t show up, it’ll be such a pity cause Mia specifically baked her cookies for him,” Sam replied with a smile as he engulfed Ryan in a tight hug.
“How have you been?” It was Ryan that asked this question.
“Well, I almost lost my sleep over your last message in the group that caused my phone to be overloaded with messages,” Sam answered with a meaningful gaze.
“If you are saying that to get answers out of me, I won’t say anything. I have come here to visit Mia and your little angel,” Ryan immediately diminished his high hope.
Sam’s happiness deflated at Ryan’s words. The dude is so stubborn. Of course, he should be. But I am really curious about what he might have written in the message that caused so much drama.
“Baby has gone on a little holiday to her grandparents. I had Mia drop her off yesterday,” Sam told Ryan.
“Why!? I bought a lot of gifts for her! What has a nine-month-old baby done to you for you to have abandoned her?” Ryan exclaimed childishly.
“Jeez! I didn’t abandon her. She’ll be back on Monday. She’s been making me and Mia lose our sleep. I felt like I would go crazy due to lack of sleep”
“She only wants to prevent her mama and dada from making another baby so soon after her,” Ryan’s comment earned him a pillow that came flying straight to his head.
