It was a special time. Leon didn’t want me to go and I had to stay at home and wait for him.
Later that day, Leon came back and I asked him why was Su Family going to hold the stocks.
His brows furrowed. He asked me who told me this.
I said, “It doesn’t matter who told me this. This is now a fact and why don’t you tell me about it so we can deal with it together.”

His smile was so warm and I was touched by it. I have always wanted to have a family and the man sitting in front of me is my dearest family, biologically speaking.
“I love it. They are delicious. Thank you.” I said softly.
He smiled again. “As long as you like it. This is probably the first time we eat alone. I want to cherish every second.”
I nodded.
“Let’s enjoy our dinner first, and no one is allowed to talk business, is that okay?” Jiye asked.
“Fine.” I nodded.
Obviously he had already guessed my purpose to come. But he didn’t want to discuss it.
“How is everything going with you? How is life?” Jiye asked. I remember he asked a similar question before but I didn’t answer directly because I wasn’t doing fine.
“It’s alright.” I said plainly.
“You lost all your memories? You remember nothing about your past?”
I nodded. “Nothing. I learned everything about my past from other people, and I don’t know whether that is true or not.”
“Don’t blame me. I was told you were dead. And I couldn’t take it. I almost broke down. You can not imagine how much pain I was in.”
I didn’t say anything. But I understand his feelings, because I also have a kid and I know the love parents have for their children is intense.
“Things will turn around, and I will give you the best of everything, as a compensation.” Jiye said.
I shook my head. “You don’t owe me anything. It’s my life, and I don’t blame anyone.
“No. I’m forever in your debt. You spend all these years in a strange place with no one beside you. It’s all my fault. I am not a good father. Hopefully I can make everything up in the future.”
I remained silent. I chose not to argue with him about whether he is in my debt or not.
I didn’t want to keep the chat going on. I wanted to ask him why was he trying to control Hua’s Group.
The dinner was finished. He looked at his watch and asked me whether I want to go for a rest or go to the company with him. He had a paper to check.
He knew I came to him to talk about Hua’s Group. And maybe he meant something else when he said there is a paper to check. So I decided to go to the company with him.
The restaurant was very near to the headquarter of Nanhe Group, and we reached his office very soon.
