Xiang Feng nodded and said, “Alright, persuade him. I’m leaving. I know it’s unfair to you, but you need to look from the whole picture. None of the off-springs of the Hua family are my child. I’m insecure if my niece do not marry into the Hua family.”
I appreciated her words, because it was true. It revealed the her dilemma. She had to do it in such predicament.
“Xiang, I’m not one of the Hua’s, so I don’t have to look from the big picture. That’s your thing. It is none of my business. The reason why I agreed to try to talk to Leon is that I don’t want to be involved into your endless fight.”
“Anyway, I will wait for your message. But you need to understand that if Leon doesn’t divorce you, he will lose his status. It is definite. If he lose power, you will have a hard time too.”
I sneered and said, “Xiang, you’d better not threaten me. If you push me too far, I might not try to persuade him. It won’t work on me. You say that I will have a hard time. Well, I’ve always lived a hard life, and I got used to it.”

I forced myself to calm down and got down to my work. When it was almost time to get off, came in an internal call. My assistance said that I was wanted on the phone by a lady surnamed Chen. She asked me do I want to pick up.

“Then leave her along.”

I continued my work after I finished the talk with my assistant. Yet after a while, the internal call came in again. “Ms Yao, Miss Feng says that she’s at the Business Park. She asks where our company is. Should I tell her?”
The assistant worried that she was going to make trouble on me, so she asked me whether to tell her our position.
I searched in my mind, getting the conclusion that I surely did not know Miss Feng. Talking about the people who’s last name was Feng, I only knew the family of Xiang Feng.
Then it flashed into my head, and I suddenly thought of a person.
“Tell her our position, and pick her up downstairs,” I said to my assistant.
“Pardon?” the assistant was surprised at my change of attitude.
“Hurry up!”
“Oh, okay, Ms Yao.”
Few minutes later, someone was knocking at my door. I told her to come in. The assistant came in and said, “Ms Yao, Miss Feng has arrived. Should I lead her to the antechamber, or…”
“Send her to my office,” I said plainly.
Then the door was open, came in a girl in a white dress. She had a good figure, and her hair covered her shoulders. She was about twenty judging from the outlook. Exquisite feature, fair skin and bright eyes, what a beautiful young lady!
She wore plain clothes and simple makeup. She wore no jewelry except a watch, not even ear rings or a necklace. She looked like an ordinary undergraduate at first glance.
I was almost sure she was the person I guessed before she speaks. She was beautiful, and really young.
I stood up, letting her sit down.
She was at ease. She sat down gracefully. A faint smile flickered across her lips, then she said, ” Ms Yao, I’m Leilei Feng. I’m sorry to bother you.”
Her eyes were clear and her smile were natural, without any embellish. Her smile almost eliminate my alertness to her.
Of course, I knew some girls would pretend to be innocent in front of others, but were actually vicious out the sight of others. But I was sure that Leilei Feng was not such person.
“Nice to meet you. I guess you are Xiang Feng’s niece,” I asked with a smell on my face.

It was beyond my expectation again. I thought she came me to persuade my to give way to her. I haven’t thought that she was reluctant to marry Leon.

I grinned, “Oh, I see, then it’s because he is older than you and he was married before. You don’t want to marry an elder man.”
“He’s still young. His age is not a problem neither.”
Then I could not understand. Since Leon was good in any way, why she was so reluctant to marry him? Was she playing hard-to-get? Was she really a hidden white lotus (a person who looks innocent in appearance, hiding the scheming part) ?
“Leon is married. No matter how nice he is, I should not destroy her family. You and him are couple. Besides, you have kid. No matter how bad I am, I would disdain to be a mistress.”
It sounded rational. It didn’t sound like a lie.
She was innocent and beautiful. She was young and have a good family. It was reasonable that she disdained of being someone’s mistress.
“Xiang Feng will not let you be a mistress. She requires Leon and I to get divorced, and then you can get married. Then you won’t be a mistress.”
