I remained speechless for a long while. Then I finished my Ginger syrup in the thermos cup.
I didn’t know how to reply, either did I know what kind of expression I should have.
But I was pretty sure for one thing, I couldn’t forgive him just because some of his actions, let alone some beautiful words.
Leon Hua was going to loose his tie, then he took off his suit. I asked him what he was going to do nervously.
He said resignedly”You are still in period, what can I do? I can’t always be dressed up, right? It’s tiring”
I replied “You are an animal”.
“What did you say?” Leon frowned.
Nothing, I replied. You heard it wrong, I said nothing.
“You said that I was an animal? How could you say that?” Leon was a little angry.
I didn’t answer him.
“Tell me why you think I am an animal.” He kept asking me.
“I’m sleepy, I want to sleep.” I put my thermos cup on the table beside my bed and got the quilt covered and fell asleep.
He gave up bothering me and tucked me up.
Of course I didn’t fall asleep. I closed my eyes and heard he went another room to arrange official business.
I began to feel warm and became sleepy. Then I fell asleep.
I slept so deep that it was already afternoon when I woke up. I had no feeling but starving.
I realized that I didn’t take breakfast for I felt dis-comfortable in the morning. Then I just had some brown sugar water for abdomen ache. I didn’t really eat today. I began to admire myself that I could sleep such a long time without food.
I climbed up and I was soft because of hunger. I looked around and wanted to find something to eat first. Whatever it was, as long as it could be eaten. Steamed corn bread would also do.
Then I found Leon sleeping on the sofa. His PC was on the coffee table. He was still holding something in his hands. His head laid on the soda and he was sleeping soundly.
Then I saw the thermal insulation lunch box beside his hand. I walked there barefoot like founding treasure. I took it over and thought no matter what inside it, I would have it for I was starving.
Its cap was screwed that I could not open because I felt soft and shaking on my hands. I raised my head and saw Leon was looking at. He seemed like watching a film.
“Starving? You didn’t even take breakfast, right? I told you countless times that you have to take breakfast. You are an adult now, why you still do not know care about yourself.” He began to blame me for that.
I had no energy to fight back. I gave the box to her and asked” Is there food inside? Open it for me.”
Leon took it over and opened it easily. The smell of porridge came out. I couldn’t tell what kind of porridge it was, but it seemed tasty. My stomach began to dance.
Leon handed me a spoon and said” Try first if it’s hot. Take it slowly and no one will grab it.”
I took a sip and it was hot. But I could accept it. I ate ravenously and finished the food. But I was still starving.
What’s more embarrassing was I didn’t find out what kind of porridge it was before I finished it.
Leon looked at me surprisingly” Nala Yao, why you are so rude while eating now? How many years you haven’t eaten? If I were clean, you might also eat me, right?”
I didn’t reply and began to take on my shoes. I wanted to go to the restaurant to have more food.
“E.. Where are you going?” Leon stood up and stopped me.
I felt embarrassed to tell him the truth then I said I wanted to go to the bathroom. But I was laughed at by him. “The bathroom in this room cannot be used? Or you prefer the public bathroom outside. Is that better? ”
I ignored him and wanted to go out directly. But he didn’t allow me.
“don’t hang out since you are not comfortable. I bought you sanitary napkin and I put that in the cabinet. It was the brand you used before.”
My face turned red again. He was just my ex-husband. We shall keep the distance, but he bought me sanitary napkin. My face flushed.
“I was not going to buy that. Let me go.”
“What you need then, let me know. I will buy you. Or ask the staff send here. Don’t go out, you are not feeling good.” He stopped me again.
“I’m not your patient, don’t stop me. I want to go out for a while.”
“Then tell me what do you need, I will ask someone get you. You need to rest.” He was also stubborn and didn’t want me to go out.

Leon stopped for a while, he bite his lip and laughed”what do you want to eat? I will buy you.”

It was a Chinese restaurant, specializing in Sichuan cuisine. It was one of my favorite, and there were many dishes that I particularly like to eat.
