By the time the banquet was over and we got home, it was already a bit late.

“Wenbei has agreed?” I asked.
“Yes. I’m drafting the partnership plan. You’re the CEO of Lanhai Technology, so look at this plan.” Leon pushed the laptop in front of me.
“I don’t know much about that. You two just discuss it. But I’m afraid it won’t work.” I voiced my worries.
“What do you mean?”
“Don’t you forget that we worked with the Su family on a project that resulted in the removal of my position as head? And then later we attended a company celebration invited by the Su Family and I was temporarily disqualified, what does that tell you?”
Leon took a light sip of milk, “It means that there are people both in Hai City and in Yang City who don’t want us to work with Su Family.”

“Ok, I know” Leon answered. I then heard the sound of him tapping on the keyboard. I turned back to him and he smiled at me before going back to work again.
I purposely got up early the next day. I saw Leon’s door was open and thought he might still be sleeping so I didn’t wake him up. I drove to the Lanhai Technology alone.
This was my first day at work, I cannot be late.
