I paid the bill and went out, finding Leon was still standing there, waiting for me.
I thought he might leave in a huff, but he was there.
I felt that he acted differently from the usual.
“Say, I’ve invited you to dinner so many times, but this is the first time you invite me.” Leon said.
I said, “You’re my boss and I’m your employee. Why should the employee treat the boss? Isn’t this shameful?”
He laughed, which was rare to see. I rushed over to make sure he was laughing. It’s real.
Seeing that I came closer to him, Leon looked at with great dissatisfaction, “What are you doing?”
“You can laugh too? I can’t believe! I want to take a photo to memorize the rare thing.”
Leon was instantly back to normal and he stopped laughing.
I immediately felt how cruel I was to stop his laugh.
Because of my saying so, he was quickly back to normal, cold like a iceberg. On the way driving back to the company, no matter how hard I tried to please him, he still paid no attention to me.
Working time began and we went back to our offices and started working.
Later, I received a call from the chairman’s office and Yaohui Hua’s secretary informed me that tomorrow morning I, together with Yaohui would meet at the headquarter and go to Yang City together for the 30th anniversary celebration of the Nanhe Group.
The next morning, Leon saw me in a dress and asked me what I was going to do.
I told him that I was going to attend a celebration and I couldn’t dress casually.
He said that now it would make you feel uncomfortable all the way if you dressed like this. Why not pack the dress and change it after checking in?
I didn’t expect him to be so thoughtful. Well, he was experienced, for he was used to such gathering and knew what to do. But it was the first time for me, so I made such a mistake. I followed his advice and changed my clothes.
Then, I shared a ride with Leon to the headquarter.
After waiting for a few minutes, Yaohui showed up.
His car was a stretched Cadillac.
Our car followed his car all the way, out of Hai City and to Yang City.
As soon as we got off the highway, Wenbei Su picked us up at the toll booth in person and took us to the a six-star hotel owned by Su’ s family to stay.
After a short break, Wenbei called to tell us to go to the hotel’s restaurant to eat first and then go to the main venue of the celebration together.
Leon and I came to the restaurant and Wenbei had already been there. The dishes were already settled.
But Yaohui didn’t come, for he had met an old friend. Then he himself would go to the main venue.
As we sat down, it seemed that Wenbei was not affected by the attack, who was still as handsome as ever.
While eating, some guests showed up. The one who walked in the front was a woman in her fifties, starred with pearls.
Wen Bei came to greet, and I heard him call the lady mother, who turned out to be Su Famliy’ s mistress.
Naturally we had to greet her, but when she saw me, she stared at me for a while and then her expression changed.
I was a little puzzled, thinking to myself if I didn’t dress properly today, or I didn’t wear a proper makeup. Why she was staring at me for so long?

After dinner, we headed back to the hotel to change our clothes and went to the celebration.
After finishing changing my clothes, my phone rang, and it was Wenbei.
He asked if it was convenient for him to come to my room, for he had something to say to me.
I had already changed my clothes, so it was OK for him to come.
I told him to come.
As soon as he came in, I felt there was something wrong with him.
He wanted to say something, but he stopped.
“Second Brother, if there is any difficulty, just tell me. you. You don’t need to consider too much.” I said this directly.
He looked at me with a complicated expression, “My sister, here is the thing. There was a call from the celebration that a group of guests will now be disqualified from entering the site due to some miscalculation of the venue’s capacity due to a mistake made by the preparatory team…”

I froze and then laughed, “Good, I’ll sleep in the hotel. That’s good.”

There were so many guests, and I was the only one left, which was a strange thing.
But I don’t think it’s necessary to find out what’s going on, or created friction between Su Family and Hua Family.
I was just a woman, and I’m not important. If I was not allowed to go, it’s no big deal.
