“So congratulations to you? For your dream to find your dearest love finally came true.” I said coldly.
“You are welcome, congratulations to you as well.” Leon said sarcastically, “Well, since the paper media is out-dated and hence has limited influence, don’t try to find those tabloids to expose the news anymore.”
“Fine, I got it.” Still coldly as I said, I then walked out after passing him quietly.
But he grabbed my arm at once and said,”You didn’t have dinner at home, where have you been?”
“It’s none of your business!” I tried hard to put forth my strength to get rid of him.
“You are my wife, how could it be none of my business?”
“Mr. Hua, now that we are about to get divorce and you have found your true love whom you are supposed to marry, then I will not be your wife any minute now. Oh no, I’ve never been your real wife but just a tool you have been using all this time.”
“You are still my wife before we get a divorce. And if you do something shameful, you still bring shame on me, so I still have to interfere your business.”
“So this can be counted as your abnormal psychology? So that you can be in a romantic relationship with Nan Lin while at the same time you also want to lock me up on this marriage pillar? What for?”
Leon Hua said directly,” It’s quite simple, you are the biological mother of Alex, and no one can take your place for that. That’s the reason.”
“So the reason why Mr. Hua wants me to stay is just in order to hire a nurse who is truly nice to Alex, right? Is that what you mean?”
Suddenly, Leon’s face became callous and said to me coldly, “haven’t I treated you well? Since when I see you as a nurse? Now that what you have got is much more than a normal nurse can get!”
I became a little curious about his word. Shouldn’t I be very mad instead of him? So what is he angry about?
“Fine, the treatment I have enjoyed is indeed better than a nurse can get. And I thank Mr. Hua for that.” I walked out again.
“Don’t forget tomorrow’s Parent-child activity in Alex’ school.” Leon said behind me without a feeling.
Ignoring him, I walked straight into my room.
After connecting my computer with the charger and reopen it , I have no mood to work anymore.
I couldn’t completely figure out my attitude towards the whole thing. It seemed that I did have a sense of frustrate after his relationship with Nan Lin was proved to be true, just as I hoped their relationship does not exist. But, it seemed that I also had never had this kind of thought.
In fact, no matter if his relationship with Nan Lin was true, the relationship between Leon and me had never been normal. Sometimes, he was nice to me, but just in a second, he was again cold to me, which made him completely unpredictable to me.
Now that their relationship was real, naturally, he would treat me worse, and my situation in this family could only be more tough. So it was time for me to cautiously think about my future.
I still couldn’t sleep as I stayed up late and kept thinking about my plan. Considering having to participate the Parent-child activity tomorrow, I had to get up to find a bottle of red wine, and drank about half of the bottle until I got dizzy and could manage to fall asleep.
The next day, I was called to wake up by Alex. Dressed neatly, Alex, full of excitement, asked me get up immediately to take part in the activity in school.
Alex was too excited to eat anything during our breakfast time, and he continued to urge us to hurry up, for he could not be late.
I started to get nervous on my way to the kindergarten.
The kindergarten that Alex went to was the one that costed the most in Hai City, which could be counted as a noble one. And most of the children in Hai City had no access to the kindergarten because of its high expense and limited number of students.
Therefore, those children who could go to that kindergarten were definitely born in a eminent and rich family.
So, it was obvious that those parents who took part in the activities were either rich or had great power in the city. Being in the same activity together with a group of people who had the most power in Hai City, I , who was a salesperson selling mobile phones in a shopping mall just about months ago, was no doubt the most negligible person and experienced the least of all the parents.
It didn’t matter that I myself was embarrassed, what I worried the most was that Alex would be affected by me. For a child had strong self-respect, and if I brought shame on him, I was afraid that he would not want to go to school anymore.
“You are very nervous?” Leon turned to me and said with sarcasm.
“Yes.” I admitted frankly.
“Don’t you have a strong character? What are you nervous about? Just a simple activity held in a kindergarten can make you so nervous?” Leon continued to mock me.
“The teacher only said that parents and children were needed to participate some activities together, but without mentioning any particular contents about the activity. So I am afraid that I can’t do it well. You don’t need to give me anymore sarcasm, I admit that I am rustic, and haven’t seen anything of high-level.
For a while, he stopped talking, and then suddenly, he said,” You don’t need to worry, you are so good that you are ten times better than those rich women.”
After hearing his word, I smiled bitterly,” Is this some kind of your sarcasm of a higher level?”
“Nala Yao , you are just so stupid that you always misunderstand other people’s kindness into bad intentions. Your EQ is just too low.”
“Fine, I’m stupid. Yes, I’m stupid.” I don’t want to argue with him because Alex was there as well.
“My mommy is not stupid, she’s the cleverest mommy.” My sweet Alex defended me against Leon’s words. This is my good biological son.
“Fine, your mommy is the cleverest.” Leon had to repeat what Alex just said.
We have arrived in the kindergarten during our conversation. This was my real first time entering the inside of this most expensive kindergarten in Hai City, because it wasn’t open for the parents generally.
Needless to say, the facility of the school was very complete. And the most important thing was the space in it was wide enough, and children can play in the sports ground.
First of all, the leaders of the school addressed a speech to welcome the parents, then he started to introduce the parents one by one. As I expected, I had seen most of the names of the parents in the media, who were either the business elites or the people with great power and importance in political circles, and all of them were great social celebrities in Hai City.
All those parents started to deliver their greetings to each other after the introduction, since they all knew each other, and some of them even made familiar conversation. No one but me knew nobody, strictly speaking is nobody knew me.
Although not being a person with much vanity, my mood was still affected by them under that kind of circumstance. However, I tried hard to keep my smile.
“All right, the introduction of the parents was finished. We all know that the parents are the earliest and the best teachers of our children and make the most influence on children’s growing up. Therefore, we welcome our each parent to do a talent show to set an example to our children. ” Announced the beautiful teacher who presided the activity.
I asked Leon with my voice down,”Why do I know nothing about this talent show?
“They informed the show the last time they called, haven’t I told you?” Leon asked.
Damn it, he had never mentioned this whole thing to me at all! Now that the talent show was about to start, what should I perform? I could perform nothing and I prepared nothing!
“You should do the perform, I can’t do it.” I said in a low voice.
“What are you saying! Only mothers perform, and no fathers are involved in the show. I know nothing about performing.” Leon said.
“Then why didn’t you tell me earlier? So what should I do? I’m about to embarrass our Alex!” I said angrily.
“I think I definitely have informed you about the show, it is you yourself that forget the thing. You can sing a song if you have no choice. You can at least sing a song, can’t you?”
” I can’t! I haven’t sung a song for a long time!”
“At least you can sing national anthem, right? Anyway, you must go to perform, so if you do not want to embarrass our child, you have to make efforts to complete your performance.” Leon said.
Now this time I was killed in such a big trouble by this guy.
