Walking out of President Hua’s office, I was excited and nervous.

Hai City Telecom is the largest branch of the Hua Corporation, which is run by Leon.
A large portion of the documents that Leon gave me was about the Hai City Telecom. When he took over this branch, the company was operating at a loss, but in just a few years, under his bold reforms and adjustments, it became a major part of the profit growth of the Hua Corporation.
Such an excellent man was not allowed to be on the board of directors simply because he didn’t have a lot of shares. He had a history of being in jail, so he was never able to be a major figure in the Hua Corporation.
But he didn’t feel discouraged and he still struggled in a company that was running at a loss, and made it make money for the Hua Corporation.
I actually admired him in my heart. I didn’t expect that Leon was so stoical.
In the eyes of others, he was bad-tempered and aggressive, but he also was persistent and patient.
He had made a significant contribution to Hua Corporation, but had never been recognized by others.
I didn’t believe he would be willing to remain unrecognized, he must be waiting for a suitable opportunity.

Later in the evening, I got a call from the mall manager at the place where I had previously worked as saleswoman. “Director Yao, I’m your assistant Mengjie Zeng.” She introduced herself, “It’s a pleasure to work with you.”
I froze for a few minutes before I realized that “Chief Yao” was calling me. This appellation stressed me out.
“Hello, I’m Nala Yao.” I smiled and shook her hand, “Nice to meet you. I hope I can learn more from you in the future.”
Mengjie smiled lightly, “Now you are my boss, it is I who should learn from you.”
“Then we learn from each other. I had no experience in management and it was all thanks to the nepotism of Leon that I got this position. So I need more help from you in the future,” I laughed to myself.
You’re very modest. We’ve all seen the video of your speech at the shareholders meeting. You argued with the arrogant Ruoxin Chen and left her speechless. You are very cool. Most of my colleagues in the company have known you by now. We are very happy to have you as our new director.”
This made me surprise. I didn’t expect to have such a high profile within the company, which was a good thing.
Mengjie handed me a paper bag, “This is the relevant information that the president asked me to prepare for you. You can learn about it first. Then what you don’t know about the company, you can ask me directly.”
