The silence of the Ansan circuit at night was unmistakable.
Severo Laris and Angelo each chose a car.
Angelo sat in the front of the car and sneered at his lips, “It’s not too late for you to give up, since you’re the office manager in a suit, I guess you haven’t encountered a race car.”
Severo Laris grabbed the tie tied to his hand and, with a calm look on his face, said, “Since we are racing in a non-professional manner, there are no rules, it’s all a matter of courage. I don’t think I have any less courage than you.”
Angelo got out of the front of the car and said unconventionally, “Don’t say too much, even if it’s a matter of courage and driving experience, I don’t think you can beat me. You businessmen who are so full of money are afraid of losing it. It’s not worth losing your life to win a race.”
Severo Laris was less concerned and said, “I do have a fear of losing my money, but with Paula Rouco I learned the word to do whatever it takes.”
Severo Laris loves money, because how could a child who as a child was afraid of being poor and who had seen his mother go from house to house licking her lips to borrow money for school expenses not love money?
It is no exaggeration to say that he loves money like his life, but it turns out that Paula Rouco is more important than his life.
Angelo opened the car door, got in and said, “Enough of this nonsense, make it quick, I’m still in a hurry to get a late-night snack.”
Severo Laris opened the car door and got in when the phone rang, caller ID, Salvino.
He picks up.
Salvino said, “Boss, the surveillance of the wife going to the Ansan race track with Prince The Vasconcellos family has been taken out and I just sent you the video.”
After hanging up the phone, Severo Laris clicked on the surveillance video.
In the video, the race was intense, Paula Rouco’s car was fast and she was driving with such boldness and fearlessness that her car hit her rival’s car several times.
Her car was almost at the top turn when the Porsche showed signs of ramming into the cliff.
Severo Laris’ eyes snapped and his heart skipped a beat.
If Angelo’s car hadn’t caught up to her and blocked her path, her speeding car probably would have gone off the cliff.
Suicidal tendencies.
Severo Laris’ fingers, clutching the phone, tighten, cold sweat seeping down his palm.
Angelo, in the other car, rolled down his window and ducked his head, “Hey, Professor Laris, still competing?”
Severo Laris tossed his phone aside and closed his eyes, relaxing his mind.
A minute later, the two cars were arrowing off at the same time.
Angelo took the lead, leaving Severo Laris a good distance behind, and he glanced in the rearview mirror at the car three hundred yards away and curved his thin lips in triumph.
“You’re still too young to play racing with this prince!”
During his years of study abroad, Angelo had been able to run, skydive and surf, all extremely fast and exciting sports, almost hand in hand.
Severo Laris, on the other hand, has spent the last seven years abroad doing nothing but running and push-ups for exercise, in addition to working, holding high-level meetings and flying all over the world.
Extreme sports, rarely touched.
But entrepreneurs at the top of the pyramid often have the character of a gambler in their bones.
Severo Laris is even more of an exception.
He looked ahead, at the speeding cars approaching, and his mind flashed back to the video Salvino had just sent.
Paula Rouco puts her life on the line at the races.
Severo Laris stepped on the accelerator and charged the car in front of him.
Paula Rouco, it’s his life.
And he, in no way, concedes defeat.
Two racing cars of different colors, one in front of the other, racing down the track.
Angelo’s skills were deft at every turn, the car turning and skidding beautifully.
As he crossed the last corner, Angelo held a triumphant smile, “If you want to beat this prince, do it in another life!”.
He turned the steering wheel hard and, just as he was about to skid around the full curve, the car behind him approached at full speed.
Angelo’s eyes widened, “Shit, Severo Laris knows how to race!
Angelo wants to explode! Is this Severo Laris going to play racing or is he going to cause a crash?
The car behind crashed into the butt of Angelo’s car and then went over the roof of his car.
“Squeak…”
An elongated, ear-popping wheel grip.
Angelo, inside the car, felt a violent jolt and shock that forced him to brake.
The car, Severo Laris, crossed over his head.
“Bang!”
With a loud bang, Severo Laris’ car fell to the ground and then ran quickly to the top of the hill.
Holy shit!
This guy doesn’t want to die!
Angelo was furious and quickly stepped on the accelerator to catch up.
On the last stretch of flat road, the two cars headed for the finish line in no order.
Severo Laris turned the steering wheel sharply, bringing the car into the front of Angelo’s car.
“Shit!”
Angelo was too late to brake, and even if he had, the racing speed had already pushed Severo Laris’ car to the finish line.
Two cars, one horizontal and one vertical, crossed the finish line at the same time.
“…”
Angelo’s eyes widened.
Decent businessmen turn out to be so wild!
Angelo got off the bike in great heat, slammed his helmet on the ground and blurted out, “Severo Laris! Do you understand?”
Severo Laris got out of the car quietly, one arm resting on the door, and stood in the night, remarkably calm.
He said, “Before the race, you didn’t say there were rules, which means I can resort to any means to win, even if it’s through a car accident.”
Angelo’s blood ran cold: “You don’t want to get fucking killed! This is a race! It’s not a game!”
If he had run over Severo Laris’ car, the latter would have been crippled or dead by now.
Severo Laris didn’t change his face and his look was as certain as it could be, “Nobody says I can’t bet my life.”
Angelo was too angry to speak, “Are you a human being?”
Severo Laris swept him around with a light gaze and said, “I already told you I’m not going to lose.”
“Because you don’t want to die!” Angelo said through gritted teeth.
Severo Laris looked at his car, untied the tie he had tied around his hand and knotted it back around his neck as he walked to Angelo’s car.
Angelo: “What are you doing?”
Severo Laris opened the passenger door and said in a weak voice, “My car is stripped, drive your car down the hill.”
The corner of Angelo’s mouth tightened: “…”
Is that a person?
As he climbed down, Angelo unconsciously glanced at Severo Laris, who was sitting in the passenger seat.
He recalled the scene where Severo Laris ran over his car and couldn’t help but ask, “Severo Laris, do you know how to run or not?”
Severo Laris gave him an indifferent look and said, “No.”
If you did, you wouldn’t be able to commit so many irregularities.
Angelo’s eyes narrowed, “And how did your car do, how did it fly over my head?”
Severo Laris said, “It’s physics, I can’t explain it for a while, but I haven’t really practiced it, I just thought I’d try it that way.”
“…”
Is it a person?
Try it, you know you both almost died right now?
Angelo gritted his teeth: “You’re not afraid of dying, are you?”.
Severo Laris’ gaze was deep and serious as he said, word for word, “It’s not that I’m not afraid of death, it’s that I’m more afraid of losing lita than you are, that’s why. “
