Chapter 829: Happy as if they had stolen a piece of candy

Book:Devoted Love, Mr. Hayes' Darling Wife Published:2024-6-2

When Severo Laris hurried to the school on his bicycle to pick Paula Rouco up from class, she had been waiting for more than twenty minutes, crouched by the flowerbed next to the school building.
When Severo Laris rode by, Paula Rouco elbowed him in the mouth: “What took you so long? I’ve been waiting for you for almost half an hour.”
“There was a delay on the way.”
Paula Rouco walked over and was led by Severo Laris with one arm to sit on the bar of the bicycle.
Paula Rouco looked down and saw a small candy tattooed on the inside of Severo Laris’ left arm, where he held the handlebars of his bicycle.
The girl’s little white hand touched and she twisted her little face to look at Severo Laris, “You have a tattoo?”
“Passing by, just tattooed.”
His slight tone of voice, however, made Paula Rouco stifle a giggle, “On the way, is that it?”.
“Hmm.” The other side replied faintly.
Paula Rouco smiled sweetly, her small chin slightly raised rather smugly, “This is the candy I drew.”
“Hmm.” Still a very weak response.
But Paula Rouco felt her heart blossom, then remembered something and asked curiously, “So, if we break up later, will you wash this tattoo?”.
“…” Severo Laris frowned, “What nonsense.”
Someone puffed out her little mouth and said, “A whole life is very long and I don’t know if we’ll always be together, but if we then break up, don’t wash this tattoo off, okay?”
Severo Laris looked at her slightly, his thin lips curved slightly, “So domineering.”
“Wouldn’t it be better if you didn’t tell your future girlfriend about this tattoo of your ex?”
Harassment is justified.
Severo Laris asks amused, “Since we broke up then, what’s the point of obsessing over this tattoo when you wouldn’t know it even if I washed it?”
Some little thing was brutal: “I don’t care, I don’t care!”
Severo Laris vowed in his lite mind: okay, granted.
Severo Laris’ face went cold at the thought that maybe it would break later and he said, “If I get married later and have a family, what’s the point of still having the tattoo?”
Paula Rouco: “Forget it, you’d better marry me so you don’t have to wash your tattoos.”
Severo Laris was slightly stunned to hear her speak so matter-of-factly, and her affectionate smile finally reached his eyes.
Mrs. Lam’s place is reserved for her.
Passing a kiosk, the little thing in her arms cried out for ice cream.
Severo Laris stopped the car and bought an ice cream.
On the way home, Severo Laris rode his bicycle, occasionally looking down to see the little girl eating ice cream in his arms, and his empty heart seemed to be completely full.
Paula Rouco occasionally lifts the ice cream in her hand toward Severo Laris’ mouth, who refuses not to eat it.
Someone frowned, “I can’t believe you think I’m dirty.”
The moment she withdrew her hand, Severo Laris freed one hand and suddenly grabbed her small hand, dipping it down to take a bite of the ice cream he had nibbled.
Someone was so happy that he became even more aggressive: “Severo, we have advanced math class today and we have been assigned a lot of math homework, can you help me write it down?”.
Severo Laris: “… Paula’s students.”
“Hmm?”
“I have a lower limit.”
Paula Rouco raised her small hand to cover her thin lips, “No, you didn’t.”
“…”
Little ghosts of bullies.

One day, Paula Rouco dragged Susana to a tattoo parlor.
Susana rubbed her chin and advised, “You’re too scruffy, what if your parents find out?”
Paula Rouco gave her a sidelong glance, “How can I be so stupid, I have it tattooed on the back of my shoulder.”
Susana gave a thumbs up, “Good idea. But Missy, what are you getting tattooed?”
“I want a tattoo.”
Finally, Paula Rouco got a tattoo of the phrase: lita love is deep.
The words, joined together and made with colors and flowery letters, were beautiful on the back of her snow-white shoulders.
Susana looked at the quote and commented, “What kind of amazing love this is for you and Severo, other couples get couple names on Facebook and change couple avatars, but you two are good, getting couple tattoos.”
After saying that, Susana even patted him on the back of the shoulder.
Paula Rouco pulled her dress back up her shoulders, “It hurts a little bit, be careful!”.

When Severo Laris came home that night and made out with someone, he took off her dress to see that she had a tattoo on the back of her shoulder.
lita love deep.
Severo Laris’s thin, calloused fingers gently rubbed the small patch of skin that was still red, and a frown creased his forehead.
“Who gave you permission to get a tattoo?”
Someone lifted his chin and justified it, “If you can get a tattoo, why can’t I.”
When he touched it, it moved a little harder and Paula Rouco’s little face scrunched up in pain, “Ow!”
“You know it hurts and yet you still get tattooed.”
Someone puffed up in exasperation and rolled her little body, sulking into the pillow, “I thought you’d be happy, big deal, I’ll wash it tomorrow.”
“It’s not allowed.”
“…” someone was speechless.
Severo Laris took her shoulders between his and kissed the tattoo on the back of her shoulder, which was reddened with red marks.
Paula Rouco dropped back into the pillows and curved her lips, knowing he liked it.
The man’s big hand stroked her little head and his voice was low, “Don’t do that nonsense again.”
Someone blurted, “You don’t do it too.”
Severo Laris gaped at the antipathy.
He lifted his head, looked at her frozen, handsome face, gave her a kiss on the chin, and ducked under the sheets like a child who has stolen a piece of candy.
Severo Laris looked down at the arched quilt and smiled slightly, patting it gently with his large hand across the quilt.
Youthful love. Love, surging and fearless, reckless.

When Adam Rouco arrived at Imperial on a business trip near final exams, he stopped by Imperial University to see his daughter.
When he appeared at the bottom of the college building, Paula Rouco ran up and greeted him, “Rouco guapo!”
Paula Rouco threw her arms around Adam Rouco’s neck as she ran up to him.
With people coming in and out from under the building, and Adam Rouco looking so striking, he immediately attracted a lot of attention.
Adam Rouco frowned at his daughter and reached over to pat her on the back in disgust, “How old are you, why are you still acting like you’re three years old, jumping up and down at the drop of a hat?”
Adam Rouco pulls Paula Rouco, who peels away from him.
Paula Rouco said, “Oh,” then took her father’s arm and walked down the school building to the parking lot, laughing and talking.
Afterwards, it was photographed and posted on the school forum by someone who was interested.
Paula Rouco, the flower of the English department, has been adopted by a successful man. The scandal of Paula Rouco’s adoption by a successful man has gone viral.
It was as if the forum was run by people intent on discrediting her, and within three days there was a barrage of insults.
Even when Paula Rouco went to school, she received many blank stares and scorn.
Paula Rouco didn’t mind, but as she sat in the classroom, girls walking past her whispered about her.
“It’s that Paula Rouco who’s the girl in the bag department, so innocent looking and so loose behind the scenes.”
“She’s fostered, and her boyfriend, Severo Laris, actually eats with her every day and drives her to and from school.”
“It can’t be, Severo is such a coward? She’s been openly cheated on and he still hasn’t broken up with her?”.
“Hmph, women and whores! A pair made for each other!”
Paula Rouco clenched her fists and pulled her books out of her purse, throwing one after the other hard on her desk.
Until the two girls behind him continued, “I hear Severo is poor, right? He probably depends on his girlfriend to go out and sell . Meat money to feed him.”
The more people talk about it, the more scandalous it becomes.
Paula Rouco jumps to her feet.
The professor, who was teaching in the classroom up the stairs, froze on the stage, “What are you doing standing, student?”
Paula Rouco walked steadily toward the stage under the gaze of the audience.
