Book:Devoted Love, Mr. Hayes' Darling Wife Published:2024-6-2

After Severo Laris emerged from the forest with Paula Rouco on his back, they were greeted by Gaspar and Rufio with flaming torches.
“Severo, Paulita, are you all right?” asked Rufio.
Severo Laris said in a light voice, “All right.”
Before long, others gathered around.
Paula Rouco tapped Severo Laris on the shoulder and whispered, “Put me down.”
So many people, so uncomfortable by her gaze.
However, Severo Laris tossed out a lighthearted, “Don’t you want your feet?”.
Paula Rouco: …
Gaspar said, “Severo, why don’t I take Paulita to the other side, it’s been a tiring trip for you.”
Severo Laris walked around the room with a cold stare, without a word, and even more without a thought of putting Paula Rouco down, and took her to the tent.
Gaspar, a little confused, scratched the back of his head and frowned, “Did I say something wrong?”
Susana laughed and patted Gaspar on the shoulder, “You are very little ojidorado, Mr. Alto.”
Rufio had a playful smile under his eyes and rubbed his chin, looking at a couple of people not far away. “Looks like Lord Severus got what he wanted.”
Susana growled softly, “I told him to be mean to me, if he had stopped Paulita earlier, without this, would he have gotten his hands on a beautiful woman now?”
Rufio reached out and rubbed Susanna’s head, “You’re good.”
Susana slapped his hand away, “I mussed my hair for you!”

Over here, Severo Laris led Paula Rouco into the tent and sat down.
The man’s slender hands, removing the small white shoes from her feet, took hold of a slender section of her ankle and placed it on his lap to check her wounds.
The snow white part of the ankle was red and swollen.
Severo Laris frowned slightly.
Rufio and Susana hurried over.
Susana said, “Paulita has hurt this ankle very badly, Rufio, go get the first aid kit.”
Paula Rouco looked at Severo Laris and, seeing how badly he was hurt, whispered: “Actually it doesn’t hurt much, it’s fine”.
But the man ignored her and Paula Rouco had to keep quiet.
Soon after, Rufio brought the first aid kit and Severo Laris cleaned her briefly with iodophor, disinfected her, sprayed her with an anti-inflammatory spray and carefully wrapped her in medical gauze.
Susana leaned over Rufio’s shoulder and looked at Severo Laris and Paula Rouco, deliberately teasing, “Severo, are you and Paulita really in love?”
Paula Rouco looked up and stared at Susana.
Although they had not known each other for long, Paula Rouco knew that Severo Laris was not a high-profile person and did not like to expose his personal affairs. Severo Laris was not a high-profile person and did not like to expose his private affairs to others.
Severo Laris, however, said in an unperturbed voice, “If you know, why are you still standing here like a human light bulb?”
Rufio: “!!!!”
Susana: “!!!”
Paula Rouco: …
Rufio pulled Susana and said, “Come on, we’re interrupting someone’s date!”.
Paula Rouco blushes at the mockery.
Without Rufio and Susana, there were only Severo Laris and Paula Rouco on this side of the tent.
Severo Laris suddenly leaned over, his warm breath in her ear and on her face, and looked at her deeply and said, “Make it clear to Gaspar that I don’t like you getting more involved with him.”
Paula Rouco swallowed saliva, “I will, then I’ll clear it with him.”
Her heart always beat wildly and indefensibly when confronted with Severo Laris.
Severo Laris looked at her, softening his gaze, but the darkness under his eyes darkened as the man’s large hands suddenly grasped the back of her head and pulled her close, his thin lips pressing hard against hers.
Strongly joined and pulled down.
They kissed until Paula Rouco weakened and the girl’s two small hands, Claudio’s resting on her chest, allowed him to trap her in his arms to kiss her.

Engracia approached the tent from where the fire was cooking and wanted to get closer to see Severo Laris and Paula Rouco.
But what she did not expect to see was such a warm and fiery image.
The man’s energetic demand for a kiss was a change from the cold and ascetic appearance he had before others.
Engracia has never seen such a hot Severo Laris.
It turns out that Severo Laris, a lonely and noble man, also has a difficult side to control.
Engracia turned and walked out of the tent.

Paula Rouco, panting and red-faced, was lying in Severo Laris’ arms, afraid to move for fear that someone might come up and bump into her.
Severo Laris right now …
“Don’t ever touch me like that again.” The girl’s round, dark, watery eyes stared at him.
Severo Laris stilled his chest, lowered his eyes, his magnetic voice low, and said, “It was a natural reaction, I couldn’t hold her back.”
“… Well, then, you are forgiven.”
Severo Laris rubbed his head against her hot red little face and closed his eyes with a sigh before he earnestly promised, “Don’t be afraid, I won’t touch you.”
“… hmm.”
Paula Rouco curved her lips as her small arms wrapped around his neck and she leaned into his embrace.
He takes her body seriously and respects her, taking her emotions into account, which makes her happy.

There where the fire is made, the food is ready.
Susanna ran to them and called out, “I say, you two, stop being bored and come and eat! It’s been a long night, aren’t you hungry?”.
Severo Laris reaches out to grab Paula Rouco by the body.
Paula Rouco pinched his arm muscle and pleaded, “Help me through, it’s too much to carry me over, and it’s only a little, my ankle is just fine.”
Although Severo Laris frowned, he did not insist on carrying her, but acceded to her request and helped her, limping.
A big guy at the barbecue.
As soon as Paula Rouco walked past, she smelled the scent of barbecue.
Analeigh called out to her, “Paulita, come here, we’ve baked lots of yummy things, don’t you love grilled corn? We have two for you.”
After Severo Laris and Paula Rouco sat down, Analeigh handed her the freshly roasted corn.
Paula Rouco was so impatient that she reached out to shuck the corn, but her fingers shivered from the heat.
With a frown, Severo Laris took the corn from her hand and helped her shuck it.
Analeigh is ambiguous. Her ambiguous gaze wandered back between Severo Laris and Paula Rouco, pointing at both of them with her chopsticks and smiling wickedly, “Severo, Paulita, you two, do you have a JQ?”
Paula Rouco was red-faced, clutching her corn, head down, grinding and nibbling like a little mouse that had done something wrong.
Severo Laris looked at the reddened ears of the girl next to him, her thin lips curved softly as she continued to bake.
After the picnic, Paula Rouco went to see Gaspar alone and the two sat by the reservoir.
Paula Rouco picked up a beer and handed it to him, “Here you go.”
Gaspar smiled, looked at his bandaged foot and asked, “How’s the foot?”.
“It’s fine, it doesn’t hurt much anymore.”
The autumn breeze by the reservoir is cool but pleasantly brisk.
Paula Rouco hesitated for a few seconds before finally speaking, “Gaspar, I can’t stand you anymore, let’s call it a day.”
Gaspar didn’t seem too surprised, turning his face to look at her and asking, “Is it because of Severo Laris?”.
Paula Rouco didn’t lie and nodded, “I’m sorry, at first I agreed to try it with you because I wanted to use you to forget Severo Laris. it’s my fault for not thinking clearly about this, I’m so sorry.”
Gaspar opened his beer and tilted his head to one side to take a sip, “It’s okay, this kind of thing, it’s between you and me, you don’t need to ask me for forgiveness.”
“It’s good that you think differently.”

When Gaspar and Paula Rouco got ready to return from the reservoir, Severo Laris was already on his way here with a cold face and long strides.
Gaspar smiled at him: “Your boyfriend has come to look for someone, so I won’t be a light bulb for you, I’ll go to rest first. You’ll go to bed early too.”
“Fine.”
Gaspar went back to his tent first.
When Severo Laris approached, he saw the fine clothes he was wearing and, looking circumstantial, took off the jacket he was wearing and draped it over his shoulders.
“Blowing through the reservoir at this time of night?”
“I was just looking for Gaspar to clear things up, didn’t you tell me to talk to him as soon as possible?”
Severo Laris said soberly, “Then there’s no need to sit here in the middle of the night blowing the wind to talk to him.”
Paula Rouco curled up and wrapped her little arms around his waist and looked at him with her little face, winking at him, pouting and a little bossy. “You have no right to be angry.”
“I’m not angry, come back.”
Paula Rouco was about to lift her foot when she was picked up by Severo Laris.
