Chapter 93 I Hope to Live with You Forever

I thought I was alone tonight.
Although I was a little lonely, I was moved by what Daniell prepared for me.
At six o’clock in the evening, Daniell came again.
Before I asked him why he came, he took my hand and said softly, “on the eve of the new year, I can’t leave you here.”
He pulled me out.
I was scared. “Do you really want to show me to your parents?”
“No, I said I would take a friend to dinner.” Daniell said as he forced me out.
I was almost dragged into the car by him.
I wanted to leave but he didn’t agree. He forced the car to start.
I was not happy. I wanted to leave when I got downstairs.
But Daniell looked at me with a pathetic expression, “I told my parents and they prepared a lot of food. Can you just help with the meal?”
And he looked at me with his chin in his hand.
I was a little embarrassed by him. I could only agree.
Even so, I knew what it meant for me to visit a man’s parents on New Year’s Eve.
I knew Daniell had been very good to me these years.
As I thought before, if I couldn’t love him, I would repay him with my whole life.
I followed Daniell upstairs.
As soon as the door opened, I saw an old couple in their fifties standing at the door. As soon as they saw me, they laughed, “it’s hard for you all the way. Come in.”
With that, they invited me into the room.
I was a little embarrassed. As I walked in, I said, “happy new year, uncle and aunt. Sorry to bother you in the new year.”
“Not at all.”
They waved their hands.
I went in and saw a lot of dishes on the small table, including fish and meat. Because there were so many dishes, they were all piled up.
Daniell asked me to sit down. I hesitated for a moment and looked at the kitchen. It seemed that there was really nothing I needed to do. Then I said, “sit down first, uncle and aunt.”
Daniell’s parents listened to me, smiled contentedly and sat down quickly.
After sitting down, Daniell’s mother said, “these are home-made dishes. I don’t know if you like them.”
She picked up a piece of fish and put it in my bowl.
“Thank you.”
Except for thank you, I really didn’t know what to say.
Daniell’s mother cooked delicious food.
They had been caring about me and serving me. I was full, but Daniell’s parents kept me eating.
At last, Daniell saw that I was really full and said, “I’ll eat it.”
He took some vegetables from my bowl.
“I ate that one.” I watched Daniell take out a piece.
“Nothing.”
Daniell didn’t mind.
After dinner, I wanted to help clean up the dishes, but Daniell’s parents didn’t let me help but let me sit and rest.
Daniell’s parents quickly packed the table. They brought a plate of oranges and apples.
Daniell picked up an apple and asked me, “do you want to eat it? I’ll peel it for you.”
“No…”
“Don’t ask. Peel it.”
As soon as I wanted to say no, Daniell’s father handed him the fruit knife.
Actually, I was full.
Daniell began to peel and said, “just one piece. You don’t have to eat it all.”
It seemed Daniell told his parents before, so they didn’t ask me about my relationship with him.
I sat on the sofa with them watching TV and eating fruit.
After 12 o’clock, we went out to set off firecrackers.
I was afraid. Daniell covered my ears.
In fact, this was the most standard new year’s Eve in my heart, but it was given to me by Daniell.
At 2 a. m., Daniell took me back to the hotel.
Before I left, Daniell’s parents gave me a red envelope. I refused but they insisted. I had to take it.
I went back to the hotel and lay in bed. I didn’t think it was true.
I heard the sound of firecrackers outside.
The new year continued.
I didn’t feel lonely this evening.
I was thinking maybe I could promise Daniell.
I would be very happy when I married him.
The next morning, Daniell came to pick me up and took me out.
There was an ancient town next to his town. On the morning of the first day of the new year, people dressed as gods of wealth distributed candy there.
There were not many people around. When they saw me, they took the initiative to give us some candy in the shape of Yuanbao and gold coins and said to us, “congratulations on getting rich.”
As soon as we took it, a reporter came to us. She thought we were lovers and asked if we had come for our honeymoon.
Daniell laughed. “We’re not married yet.”
He was very clever.
He didn’t deny our relationship. It sounded easy to misunderstand.
As soon as the reporter heard this, he asked some more questions. He blessed us, “always together.”
When I opened a chocolate bar, I heard Daniell beside me said, “I wish I could live with you forever.”
I looked up at him. The man didn’t look at me.
I followed his eyes and saw a familiar figure in a trance.
Sean?
I took another look. It had gone.
I thought I was ridiculous. Sean couldn’t be in such a cheap town at this time.
When I looked at Daniell again, he suddenly turned around and touched my hair, “June, be my girlfriend. I really want to give you time. I want to give you a lot of time. But I’m afraid you’ll be with others.”
“How could…” I bowed my head.
In fact, if I had to find someone, I would find Daniell.
Daniell raised my chin with his fingers. He looked at me tenderly. His handsome face approached me.
He was very serious.
I knew what he was going to do.
I was a little flustered, but I didn’t know if I should push him away.
I looked at him and kept telling myself to accept him.
After all, he was so kind to me that I thought I should accept him, or I really couldn’t repay him.
I persuaded myself in my heart and slowly closed my eyes.
I waited for him to kiss me.
But I waited for a second and felt him kiss my forehead tenderly. The next second I heard him chuckle, “you’re so nervous. Your hands are shaking.”
“Ah?”
I was a little embarrassed.
Daniell reached for my hands and put them in his palm. He said with a soft smile, “I won’t force you. I’ll wait for you to really accept me.”
