When I arrived at the police station, I learned that Molly Carter disappeared after meeting me in the afternoon. The search team searched for hours before finding her seriously injured and unconscious in the mountains at about 10 p. m.
She was judged to have rolled down the hill.
I was found because I had a phone call with her last night, and the last message before she disappeared was sent to me.
The content was, “June, I have arrived. Where are you?”
I was puzzled and immediately retorted, “How can I have a record of her calls? What a joke! I’ve never been in touch with her, and I haven’t been in touch for months!”
I denied it, but the police came up with Molly Carter’s phone records for the last month.
It said here that she and I call every few days.
The police figured out from this frequency that I had a good relationship with her.
“It is not true!”I denied it.
“This is our policemen call from the telecommunications company. Do you think the telecommunications company is fake or the police are fake?”Police questioned.
I was stunned.
After I finished my statement, Sean arrived just after the police locked me up.
The man went straight into the guard room.
It was late and there was no light in the guard room, but I could still feel the horror of the man.
“I didn’t do it. I don’t know how…”
“Shut up!”
Before I finished, Sean interrupted me. He reached out and grabbed the collar of my clothes and pulled me to his side.”June Carter, I really underestimated you. Yesterday Molly said she was going to pray on the mountain. I asked her to go with. She said she kept her secret!”
“No! She framed me! I didn’t contact her at all!”I tried desperately to explain to Sean Jessop.
But he couldn’t listen at all. He just pressed me against the cold wall and asked me, “June Carter, tell me what you were thinking when you pushed her down the hill? Has she grabbed you and asked you for help?”
The cold moonlight came through the cracks in the bars and shone on the man’s face.
I could see his deep eyes filled with hate.
My hands were on my belly. And I powerlessly explained, “I didn’t touch her. That phone information is fake! I never called her!”
In my opinion, just a phone message can’t prove that I was the murderer!
But Sean Jessop listened to me and would only hold me tighter.”The dandruff from Molly Carter’s nails, identified by DNA, is yours! And there were witnesses who proved that you went to the mountains!”
My brain went blank.
I remember Molly Carter grabbing me at that time.
“I’m looking for my client Judy Sophia!”
These words were what I told the police.
“Judy Sophia said she was filming in the mountain that day and didn’t let you go to the mountains at all” Sean answered me coldly.
I realized that I hadn’t seen Judy Sophia at all that day. I only met a person who claimed to be Judy Sophia’s assistant…
I suddenly felt like I was caught in an elaborate conspiracy.
None of the evidence was valid…
I suddenly felt ridiculous. I didn’t understand what I had done wrong.
I just love Sean, and eventually I’m going to end up in jail!
Sean Jessop thought I couldn’t argue. He pushed me hard and said in a cold voice, “Tell you, June Carter, if Molly was seriously injured this time, I’ll let you spend the rest of your life in prison!”
